Phil Collen, lead guitarist of Def Leppard, announces the formation and release of his new blues based music project, DELTA DEEP, coming this summer. Collen recorded the mix of original and hand-picked cover tracks with fellow DELTA DEEP bandmates Debbi Blackwell-Cook (back-up vocalist for such artists as Michael Buble & Luther Vandross), Forrest Robinson (drummer for India.Arie, Joe Sample & The Crusaders, TLC), and Robert DeLeo (bassist for Stone Temple Pilots). The Les Paul Foundation has announced the official “100th Birthday of Les Paul,” a year-long celebration to launch the famous inventor and musician's 100th birthday - June 9th, 2015. The celebration, which will last through May of 2016, will include exciting programs beginning with the star-studded June 9th event in New York's Times Square. It was announced today, Jeff Beck will headline a string of solo dates, beginning April 16th with a pair of intimate engagements in Huntington, New York before wrapping up on April 26th in Greensburg, PA. Beginning April 30th in Cedar Park, TX, Beck and ZZ Top will make-up the rescheduled dates from this past September when the hugely successful double-bill tour was cut short due to an unfortunate injury to ZZ Top bassist, Dusty Hill.
