Blockbuster Disney's Aladdin and record-breaking new musical comedy Mean Girls will make their Orlando premieres as part of the 2019-2020 FAIRWINDS Broadway in Orlando series at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. The season also includes audience favorites Escape to Margaritaville: The Jimmy Buffett Musical, A Bronx Tale and The Play That Goes Wrong, along with Tony Award-nominated revivals Miss Saigon and Lerner and Loewe's My Fair Lady. The season will also feature the return of the musical phenomenon Les Miserables, for one week only.

The Broadway Grand Rapids 2019-20 season will include some of the biggest blockbusters on Broadway, including a three-week run of HAMILTON.

The Hollywood Pantages, a Nederlander Theatre, has announced the BROADWAY IN HOLLYWOOD 2019-20 Season, consisting of eight Los Angeles premieres, all direct from Broadway. This season will mark the first time Los Angeles Theatre audiences will have regular access to Broadway National Tours at both the Pantages and Dolby Theatres in Hollywood. 8 great shows, 2 iconic theatres, one blockbuster season.

Bay Street Theater and Dan's Papers are pleased to announce the rekindling of the popular Fireside Sessions with Nancy Atlas returning Saturdays at 8 pm in January. Rock out with Nancy Atlas and The Nancy Atlas Project and enjoy some of the hottest music on the East End. Nancy sets the theater ablaze with her band and some massively talented special guests. The Country Music Association will honor the Messina Touring Group's CEO Louis Messina with this year's CMA Touring Lifetime Achievement Award. Messina received the news personally from Country legend George Strait, who made a surprise phone call last Friday morning. Final voting for the CMA Touring Awards, which highlight vital behind-the-scenes members of the touring industry, closes Thursday, Dec. 13. The CMA Touring Awards will take place Monday, Jan. 28 at Nashville's Marathon Music Works. Jerrod Niemann will return to host the ceremony.

For Kenny Chesney, the Songs for the Saints 2019 Tour is about going to the people, leaning in and creating music in a more intimate realm than his massive 1.3 million, 19-stadium summer tours contain. With a focus on arenas half the size he normally plays, it offers the songwriter from East Tennessee the opportunity to introduce an emerging country artist whose done it outside the lines to No Shoes Nation.

Guitarist and singer-songwriter Peter Mayer, of Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band and The Peter Mayer Group, has released his first illustrated book for all ages, entitled A Junkman's Christmas Eve. The tale of Ernie the Junkman's journey to Christmas is a story rooted in Mayer's childhood and is brought to life with vibrant illustrations by artist and illustrator Phyllis London. Her work hangs in private, public and corporate collections across the country and she is a Signature Artist Member of the Noyes Museum of Art.

Phish, the American rock band known worldwide for its dedicated fan base, recently announced a 14-date Fall tour which will conclude in Las Vegas with four performances at the MGM Grand Garden Arena October 31 to November 3. All four shows are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.

The "Take Me To The River: New Orleans LIVE" tour comes to the McAninch Arts Center, located at 425 Fawell Blvd. on the campus of College of DuPage, Oct. 14 at 6 p.m.This performance will be the 3rd in a tour beginning Oct. 12 in Milwaukee and continuing through November through the Midwest and Northeast.

The Old Globe's 2018-2019 Season kicks off with the world premiere of The Heart of Rock & Roll, inspired by the music of Huey Lewis and the News, featuring a book by Jonathan Abrams and story by Tyler Mitchell and Jonathan Abrams. What did the critics have to say?

Today, award-winning Mississippi bluesman Cedric Burnside releases his album Benton County Relic. Burnside is the grandson of legendary blues musician R.L. Burnside and still lives close to the Holly Springs, Mississippi home where he was raised by R.L. His first show with his grandfather (affectionally known as 'Big Daddy') was at ten years old at a juke joint. He now carries the torch of bringing Hill Country Blues to the modern day. 

Berkshire Theatre Group welcomes Harvest & Rust: A Neil Young Experience, featuring a smattering of beloved Berkshire musicians, at the Garage (located in the Colonial lobby) on Friday, October 5 at 8pm. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 day-of show.

Country Music Hall of Fame member and Mississippi native Charley Pride, was honored with another industry accolade recently, celebrating his legendary career as a pioneering Country musician. Pride was inducted into the Mississippi Arts + Entertainment Experience Hall of Fame class of 2018, on August 25th in Meridian, Mississippi, along with four other recipients; singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett, Photographer William Eggleston, Writer and editor Willie Morris, and Blues musician Howlin' Wolf. Pride also received a 'Walk of Fame' star as part of the ceremony.
