Sometimes the words we speak become a secret code for what we really feel. Shortly before an audition for her first professional Shakespeare play, gifted and entitled young actor Anna arrives in a college rehearsal hall expecting help from brilliant, bitter acting instructor Curt. When their work together leads to professional success but personal misery, they must decide whether or not to break their Shakespeare code and uncover how they really feel about each other.
City of Chicago Honors Martha Lavey, Steppenwolf's 40th Anniversary

Mayor Rahm Emanuel and members of the Chicago City Council today honored Steppenwolf Theatre Company's 40th Anniversary, recognizing the organization for its invaluable artistic contributions to Chicago. Additionally, in a separate resolution, Mayor Emanuel and the City Council paid special tribute to former Steppenwolf artistic director Martha Lavey on her two decades of transformational leadership from 1995 to 2015.
Steppenwolf Welcomes New Ensemble Members

? Steppenwolf Theatre Company will to welcome Sandra Marquez and Caroline Neff to its world-renowned ensemble. Both have performed in multiple shows with the company and can currently be seen on Steppenwolf's stages in Mary Page Marlowe and The Flick respectively. Marquez and Neff are the first two members added under Artistic Director Anna D. Shapiro.

This exhibition features a new series of paintings by Jim Couper, professor emeritus in the Department of Art and Art History at FIU, and the founding director of the Art Museum at FIU.
According to Couper, 'It's the experience of the wild landscape, not a picture of it that interests me.” The Florida Everglades are the artist's favorite place to paint; unfortunately, he has witnessed the Everglades decline over the years.
