Digital Network CONtv to Premiere First Ever Live Streamed Panels on OTT Platform

CONtv, the new digital entertainment network devoted exclusively to the fanspace, will live stream Wizard World Comic Con Philadelphia's top Q&A panels Saturday, including one featuring 'Doctor Who' stars David Tennant and Billie Piper (10:30-11:15a.m. ET) and another starring 'Arrow' headliner Stephen Amell (3:30-4:15 p.m. ET).

UNTETHERED Opens Today at Mountain View Mausoleum

Julia Edwards' World Premiere play, untethered is a wacky new love story, not the Hallmark variety, the messy, screwing up, begging for mercy kind. Untethered is directed by Jen Bloom, featuring Joy Osmanski and Adam J. Smith, and features original music by Steven Kai van Betten. Untethered opens today, May 8th and runs through Sunday, June 7th at the home of Wicked Lit, Mountain View Mausoleum (2300 North Marengo Avenue, Altadena 91001).

Center for Puppetry Arts' Expansion Slated for Fall 2015 Completion

Serving as a cultural landmark in Atlanta for more than 35 years, the Center for Puppetry Arts is an inspiration to all ages through the art and traditions of puppetry. As the highly anticipated expansion and renovation project comes to fruition, the Center is unveiling previously unreleased details on its Global Collection gallery in their new permanent museum exhibition, Worlds of Puppetry. The gallery will be comprised of more than 170 puppets and artifacts, spanning five continents and showcasing various cultures across the world. Slated to open in fall 2015, the completed Museum will also include the Jim Henson Collection gallery, which will be the nation's most comprehensive exhibit of Jim Henson's artifacts.

For 45 years, Caroll Spinney has been beloved by generations of children as the man behind Sesame Street's Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch -- and at 80 years old, he has no intention of stopping. At Museum of the Moving Image's Spring Family Day, Spinney will make an appearance and pose for photos before a preview screening of the new documentary about his life and career I Am Big Bird: The Story of Caroll Spinney on Sunday, May 3, 2015. After the film, he and his wife Debi Spinney will participate in a Q&A moderated by Craig Shemin, President of the Jim Henson Legacy.

Items to be auctioned have been donated from Steve Whitmire's private collection of Jim Henson-related memorabilia gathered throughout more than 37 years as a core performer in nearly every Muppet project produced for numerous television series, theatrical motion pictures, television specials and albums. All "Whitmire's Wonders" auction proceeds go toward the funding of the new Museum to house the Jim Henson Collection at the Center for Puppetry Arts.

The Center for Puppetry Arts' renovation and expansion, set to be completed in fall 2015, will include the new “Worlds of Puppetry” Museum, featuring the most comprehensive collection of Jim Henson puppets and artifacts in the world. Earlier this month, while crews were working on a highly anticipated renovation and expansion project to build a new Museum, a discovery was made of a previously unknown and obviously very old puppet.
