The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Patrick Willingham) just opened the world premiere production of THE TWENTY-SEVENTH MAN, by Nathan Englander, last night, November 18. Directed by Barry Edelstein, THE TWENTY-SEVENTH MAN runs through Sunday, December 9 in The Public's Martinson Theater at its Astor Place home. Check out photos from the opening below!

Barneys New York and the Walt Disney Company launched the project of Events 2012 Holiday Electric in Barneys flagship store on Madison Avenue in New York.

The untold story of 'The Princess and the Pea', ONCE UPON A MATTRESS, will play 29th November 2012 - 5th January 2013 at the Union Theatre, featuring music by MARY RODGERS, lyrics by MARSHALL BARER and book by JAY THOMPSON, DEAN FULLER and MARSHALL BARER.

STARZ announced several new cast members in the upcoming Michael Bay-produced original series BLACK SAILS. The eight episode freshman season of the drama series is set to air on STARZ in 2014. The pirate adventure tells the story of Captain Flint and his men, and takes place 20 years prior to Robert Louis Stevenson's classic 'Treasure Island.'

On Tuesday, November 27, Columbia Records and Twentieth Century Fox Television will release Glee: The Music Season 4, Volume 1, the next official release in the Glee music collection. Available in both standard and deluxe versions, Glee: The Music Season 4, Volume 1 will feature songs performed by the Glee cast favorites and the show's newcomers, including heartfelt renditions of Imagine Dragons' "It's Time," Coldplay's "The Scientist" and Taylor Swift's "Mine." The album will also premiere brand new tracks from upcoming episodes, such as One Direction's wildly popular "Live While We're Young" and Psy's dance anthem "Gangnam Style." The deluxe version, available digitally only, will include tracks that showcase special guest stars Kate Hudson and Sarah Jessica Parker (see below for track-listing).

ESCAPE FROM PLANET EARTH is coming to theaters on February 14 from The Weinstein Company. The animated scifi adventure is directed by Callan Brunker and features the voices of Jessica Alba, Sarah Jessica Parker, Brendan Fraser, James Gandolfini, Kaitlin Olson and Rob Corddry. The New 42nd Street Gala, in celebration of the New Victory Education Programs, will honor the Australia Council for the Arts with the New Victory Arts Award on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. The annual event will feature a special performance by the Melbourne-based Australian troupe Circus Oz at The New Victory Theater, followed by a dinner reception at The Liberty Theater.

AIDS Walk Los Angeles is the world's first fundraising event of its kind, and the event continues to keep the public engaged in the HIV/AIDS crisis. Last year, a passionate crowd of 30,000 walkers and 2,500 volunteers raised $3 million for HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and advocacy programs. Since its inception, the event has raised more than $72 million to fight the disease in Los Angeles County.
