The new Broadway revival of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is getting in the holiday spirit by celebrating the first night of Chanukah with four major events this Sunday, December 6. From DOROT on Upper East Side to Macy's and Hebro in Midtown to The Museum of Eldridge Street on Manhattan's historic Lower East Side, the city will be covered with FIDDLER cast appearances and performances to celebrate the Jewish Festival of Lights.
The Jewish Channel will continue its second season of its popular theater-oriented monthly TV show, ROW J, with a new episode to begin airing on Tuesday, December 1. ROW J is hosted by TJC correspondent Meredith Ganzman. The executive producer is Brian Scott Lipton. Featured in this edition are theatre stars Danny Burstein, Alan Cumming, Jackie Hoffman, Aaron Tveit and more!

BroadwayWorld is excited to report that Classic Stage Company's production of Bertolt Brecht's MOTHER COURAGE AND HER CHILDREN, starring Tony Award winner Tonya Pinkins, will begin performances Wednesday, December 9 for a limited engagement through January 24. MOTHER COURAGE AND HER CHILDREN will be directed by Brian Kulick and will feature original music by Tony Award winner Duncan Sheik. The official press opening is Thursday, January 7.

Broadway fans celebrated the 29th Annual Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction by bidding on and buying everything from tickets to a bevy of opening night performances to custom-made music mixes, from autographed musical phrases to once-in-a-lifetime theatrical experiences. Judson Theatre Company has announced that Elinor Donahue has joined the cast of their upcoming production of the Pulitzer Prize comedy HARVEY by Mary Chase. Donahue, an Emmy nominee, is well known for her role as Betty on Father Knows Best. HARVEY opens Thursday, September 24 and runs through Sunday, September 27 at Owens Auditorium at Sandhills Community College, located at 3395 Airport Road in Pinehurst.
The Public Theater presents Cymbeline, the second show of The Public's Free Shakespeare in the Park season at the Delacorte. Directed by Tony Award winnerDaniel Sullivan and featuring the previously announced Hamish Linklater as Posthumus Leonatus/Cloten and Lily Rabe as Imogen, Cymbeline runs through Sunday, August 23, and opened last night, August 10. The Public began the Free Shakespeare in the Park season with THE TEMPEST.
