Continuing its decades-long commitment to cultivating appreciation of all varieties of dance, The Joyce Theater Foundation will once again welcome patrons and dance enthusiasts to its annual Choreographers & Cocktails fundraising event on Monday, October 30 at 6pm.

Philein/ZiRu Productions (ZiRu Productions) has announced its fifth anniversary home season to take place this month at ODC. The San Francisco-based company takes seriously its mission to foster collaboration across cultural boundaries, and this year's home season showcases the work of a diverse roster of choreographers from China and the U.S., working within a range of choreographic traditions. In the best sense, the subject here on display is the 'global citizen' -- part Asian, African, European, and American.

The Maui OnStage production of the racy musical 'The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas' played its final show on August 2, 2009 to an enthusiastic full house. The production, which was presented at the Historic Iao Theater home of Maui OnStage, played 12 performances spanning four weekends.
