Theatre and TV stars are coming out to support Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS at the 24TH ANNUAL Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction to be held on Sunday, September 26 from 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM in Shubert Alley (Shubert Alley & West 44th Street). Hairspray will play the following performance schedule: Wednesdays at 7:00PM, Thursdays at 1:30PM & 7:00PM, Fridays at 7:00PM, Saturdays at 1:30PM & 7:00PM and Sundays at 1:30PM & 7:00PM. Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Producing Artistic Director) announces that the 2010-2011 season opening production, Hairspray has extended its performance schedule. Originally scheduled to run through October 17, Hairspray will now run from September 22 through October 24, 2010. Casting will be announced soon.

Newcomer Nikki Bohne will star in a new tour of the Tony-nominated LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL launching today in Jackson, Mississippi. Bohne, a recent graduate of Brigham Young University, will play the role originated in the film by Reese Witherspoon, and onstage by Tony nomiee Laura Bell Bundy. Bohne's regional credits include Aida (Amneris) and West Side Story (Anybodys) both at the Hale Center Theatre, Footloose (Rusty) and Annie Get Your Gun (Annie), both at the Playmill Theatre.

Art Machine, a Trailer Park company, and a multi-award winning design firm specializing in print and cross-platform marketing campaigns for all facets of the entertainment industry, has expanded into New York City. The company's new office has been established to better serve its growing Broadway and live entertainment client base. The announcement was made today by Rick Eiserman, CEO, Trailer Park.

Lead producers Margo Lion and Hal Luftig announced today that the new musical CATCH ME IF YOU CAN will open on Broadway Sunday, April 10, 2011 at a Nederlander theatre to be announced. This new musical, created by a team of Tony winners, features a book by Terrence McNally, music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman, choreography by Jerry Mitchell and is directed by Jack O'Brien. Previews begin March 7, 2011. Casting and additional design team will be announced shortly.

The West End's production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's LOVE NEVER DIES has extended ticket sales through March 2011. The show opened at the Adelphi Theatre in London on March 9, 2010.

Interviewed this week on Michael Ball's UK television show, Andrew Lloyd Webber himself has confirmed that LOVE NEVER DIES will next be hitting Australia and Toronto (which he said will be the pre-Broadway production) with different teams in place in each city. No specific dates, timelines or names for casting or creative have been revealed.

Having been the first to bring shows such as Jerry Herman's La Cage aux Folles, Neil Simon's The Goodbye Girl - The Musical, Mel Brooks' The Producers, as well as a regional theatre premiere production of The Wedding Singer to western Maryland audiences, Way Off Broadway is adding the musical comedy Dirty Rotten Scoundrels to the list of firsts. The outrageously funny musical opens September 10th and will run through November 7th.

THE FIRST NATIONAL TOUR OF LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL will begin performances at PlayhouseSquare's Palace Theatre in Cleveland on Friday, October 22nd and will play through Sunday, October 24th. The show is part of the U.S. Bank Star Performance Series at PlayhouseSquare.

John Barrowman will host WEST END BARES: STRIP BRITANNIA! on September 5, 2010, the Make a Difference Trust has announced. The show will feature male and female dancers from the West End 'strutting their stuff' and will benefit TheatreMAD and the Make a Difference Trust. This show is the first West End Bares event and is based on the popular Broadway Bares series created by Jerry Mitchell. There will be two performances, one at 9:30pm and one at midnight.

Michael Riedel adds some additional details in today's New York Post including that they now plan to bring the production first to Toronto (directed by Craig Revel Horwood) and Australia with the best production to then head to Broadway.

According to the New York Times, Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'Love Never Dies' might not be making an apearance in Broadway's Spring 2011 season after all. Though a spokesperson for the Phantom sequel claims that the show is still set to play at the Neil Simon Theatre with a date to be announced for the Spring, the paper reports that director Jack O'Brian and choreographer Jerry Mitchell have left the production to focus on 'Catch Me if You Can'.
