Everything's coming up Merman from August 21-24, 2014, as Stoneham Theatre presents Ethel Merman's Broadway, the Award-Winning, critically acclaimed musical celebration of Broadway's greatest singer: Ethel Merman! Stage and TV star Rita McKenzie recreates the amazing life of 'La Merm,' with songs from such hit musicals as Gypsy, Annie Get Your Gun, Anything Goes, Hello, Dolly!, and more. You'll hear all of Merman's hits-such iconic songs as: 'I Got Rhythm'; 'I Get a Kick Out of You'; 'Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries'; 'Everything's Coming Up Roses'; and, of course, 'There's No Business Like Show Business.'

For the first time in 25 years, The Barn Theatre proudly presents the Tony Award winning musical, HELLO, DOLLY! Kim Zimmer stars as the beloved matchmaker Dolly Levi in this classic Broadway hit!

The hilarious musical La Cage aux Folles, featuring the bawdy humor of Harvey Fierstein and the melodic genius of Jerry Herman, is the final show in the 2014 Music Circus season at the Wells Fargo Pavilion, the 64th season for the venerable Sacramento institution. Performances are August 19 - 24.

Thorpe will populate Broadway in the brand-new production of the Larry L. King - Pete Masterson - Carol Hall musical The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.

It's the dog days of summer but in Ivoryton, August is kicking its way on to the scene in feathers, glitter and six inch heels! LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, the smash hit Broadway musical opened in Ivoryton on August 6th and runs through August 31st. Written by Harvey Fierstein, Jean Poiret and Jerry Herman, the original 1983 Broadway production received nine nominations for Tony Awards and won six, including Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book. LA CAGE was later turned into a popular movie, The Birdcage, starring Nathan Lane and Robin Williams.

Vintage Theatre presents 'Mack and Mabel' August 8 through September 14. Acclaimed Broadway veterans FRANC D'AMBROSIO and GLORY CRAMPTON celebrate the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber from his many beloved musicals in the wonderful salute, 'Angel of Music,' coming to the RRazz Room in New Hope for four very special nights beginning tonight, Thursday, Aug. 7 and concluding Sunday, Aug. 10.

Bay Area Cabaret, devoted to presenting audiences with top performers who expand the definition of cabaret, enters its 11th season this fall with a sparkling lineup at the Fairmont San Francisco's historic Venetian Room. The new season features a star-studded lineup of performers making their Bay Area Cabaret debuts, as well as the return of a few favorites. The season kicks off on Saturday, September 27, 2014 with a tribute to songwriter Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin, Godspell, Pocahontas, Enchanted, Prince of Egypt), starring Mr. Schwartz, SNL's Ana Gasteyer, Broadway's Liz Callaway and Michael McCorry Rose. The Pasadena Playhouse announced today that Wayne Brady will star as Fred/Petruchio in the Cole Porter Broadway musical KISS ME, KATE. The multi-Emmy Award winning Brady will head a cast of 17. Epps will direct the 2014-2015 Season opener, which will run from September 16- October 12, 2014 with the official press opening on September 21. The production also stars Merle Dandridge (Broadway's Spamalot and Tarzan) as Lily/Kate.

Theatre producer Steven M. Levy received an honorary award from the London College of Music, part of the University of West London (UWL) on Wednesday 23 July. The University's annual graduation ceremony took place at Wembley Stadium with 1,700 graduates in attendance.

Broadway performer and BackStage Bistro Award-winning recording artist Rebecca Spencer will celebrate her Los Angeles concert debut with a performance of FAIR WARNING at Upstairs at Vitello's on Friday, August 15 at 8:00pm.

Hello Dolly is currently playing at the Leawood Stage Company located at the Amphitheater at Ironwoods Park in Leawood, Kan. The Matchmaker by Thornton Wilder is the basis for the 1964 production that won a record 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Jerry Herman wrote the music and lyrics for Hello Dolly and Michael Stewart wrote the book. Chris McCoy directs and choreographs the Leawood production.
