The Muny announced today 21 principal cast members for its 99th season. Full company casting will be announced throughout April. The 2017 Muny season opens with Jesus Christ Superstar followed by Disney's The Little Mermaid and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. The season continues with the premiere of All Shook Up! and a newly re- envisioned The Unsinkable Molly Brown. Season 99 closes with A Chorus Line and the much- anticipated Muny debut of Newsies.

There's the old adage in any kind of entertainment that if you have a strong finish, the audience can forgive some pitfalls that may have come before. Unfortunately the new work currently playing at Village Theatre has many of those pitfalls (and some good moments too) but they're followed by one of the most egregiously bad, anti-climactic and lackluster endings I think I've ever seen.

Presented at 12th Ave Arts this August, Bonnie & Clyde come back to life in this thrilling musical with music by Frank Wildhorn. This classic tale of passion and crime during the Great Depression is set to a rockabilly, blues and gospel score. Bonnie & Clyde's premiere took place in 2009 at the La Jolla Playhouse, followed by a Broadway opening in 2011. After a short but well-received four week run, the production was nominated for three Outer Critics Circle Awards and five Drama Desk Awards, both including Best New Musical, as well as two nominations for the 2012 Tony® Awards. Performed by an incredibly talented cast of local Seattle actors, this show is a wild ride you won't want to miss.
