Last night the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene premiered Fiddler On The Roof in Yiddish directed by Joel Grey for a VIP Opening Night audience and Gala which honored Jeffrey S. Wisenfeld, Chairman of the Folksbiene.

National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF) today announced that the highly anticipated American premiere of the Yiddish language Fiddler on the Roof, which began preview PERFORMANCES Off Broadway at the Museum of Jewish Heritage last week, will extend its run for an additional week through September 2 due to demand for tickets. The Press Opening takes place Sunday, July 15 and a VIP gala performance on Monday, July 16. Helmed by Academy Award and Tony Award winner Joel Grey, the acclaimed musical is being presented now for an 9-week limited engagement through September 2.

On Monday 9th of July, the musical She Loves Me celebrated their opening night at Dansmaker Theatre in Amsterdam.
It's the second production by De Kernploeg, whose mission it is to bring American musicals to the Dutch audience, choosing productions which aren't as well-known and therefore might be commercially risky.
After last year's production of A New Brain, this summer season will be brighted up by this smart and witty production of She Loves Me (book by Joe Masteroff, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, and music by Jerry Bock.)

She Loves Me is currently running at Village Players of Birmingham to close out their 95thseason. The romantic musical comedy with book by Joe Masteroff, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, and music by Jerry Bock will play for two more weekends - ending May 20th. The Tony award-winning show premiered on Broadway in 1963 and has had award-winning revivals in 1993, 2000, and 2016. BroadwayWorld Detroit had a quick chance to speak with one of the performers of Village Players' production, Joshua Whitson, about his role and how he feels about She Loves Me - "a classic tale that will keep the audience laughing and smiling throughout!"

New York City Ballet's 2018 Spring Season opens on Tuesday, April 24 and will continue for six weeks through June 3. The centerpiece of the Spring Season will be Robbins 100, a celebration of Jerome Robbins, NYCB's co-founding choreographer, whose remarkable contributions to the worlds of ballet and Broadway musical theater have made an indelible impression on both art forms. The three-week celebration will run from May 3 to May 20, featuring 20 works created by Robbins over the course of 40years, as well as two world premiere ballets in tribute to Robbins.
