The Apple Tree is an evening of three funny, poignant and fascinating one-act musicals about men, women and temptation with music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick (the team that created Fiddler on the Roof, She Loves Me and The Rothschilds), and a book by Bock and Harnick with contributions from Jerome Coopersmith.

Crown City Theatre Company is set to present The Apple Tree. Previews will take place June 3 & 4 at 8 pm. The show runs from June 5 - June 28. General admission tickets cost $20, tickets for students and seniors cost $15. Tickets to preview shows cost $15, $10 students and seniors.

Transport Group, the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and a 2007 Obie Award, will present a workshop of the Richard Rodgers Award-winning musical See Rock City & Other Destinations, music by Brad Alexander, book and lyrics by Adam Mathias, June 6 - 13 at The New 42nd Street Studios. The workshop, which is directed by Transport Group artistic director Jack Cummings III, is being presented for an invited audience.

Oregon Shakespeare Festival Artistic Director Bill Rauch has put the finishing touches on the design teams for OSF's 75th anniversary year. The 2010 season was announced in March, but a few directors had not yet been announced.

The New Group, currently represented Off-Broadway by Ian Bruce's play Groundswell, is pleased to announce its upcoming 2009-2010 season. Leading next season with previews beginning in October 2009 is the world premiere of The Starry Messenger by Kenneth Lonergan, featuring Matthew Broderick. The Bronx native, who relocated to Los Angeles several years ago, brings her sensational new show, On My Way To You into Manhattan's beautiful Metropolitan Room at Gotham for this one night only event with acclaimed musical director John Randall and directed by Bruce Kimmel.
