By popular demand, pianist David Lahm returns to share more songs and stories about his mother, Dorothy Fields, considered by many to be America's leading female lyricist. Cabaret singer Julie Budd joins Lahm for a special guest performance, along with Harvey Granat.

11th Hour Theatre Company is set to heat up June with the World Premiere of the emotional new musical Big Red Sun.   This World Premiere musical, which the company helped develop is set to run May 31-June 17. Written by John Jiler & Georgia Stitt this it opens June 4 at 7 p.m. It is directed by 11th Hour co-founder and Resident Director Megan Nicole O'Brien with Music Direction by 11th Hour regular Dan Kazemi. All Shows will be at Christ Church Neighborhood House, 20 N. American Street.

Tony Award-winning Broadway legend BETTY BUCKLEY will release her inspiring and emotionally-compelling new live album Hope - a profound mix of Americana, pop, rock and standards - from Palmetto Records in physical, digital and streaming formats on Friday, June 8. Buckley will celebrate the album at Joe's Pub at the Public in New York with an exclusive four-concert engagement from June 5 to 9.

Hershey Felder Presents announces a special one-night-only musical event Hershey Felder's Great American Songbook Sing-Along. Felder, who is performing Our Great Tchaikovsky through May 13th at Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre Upstairs will lead audiences through 100 years of American music from George and Ira Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin, Rodgers & Hammerstein, to Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, and many more.

NJ Rep presents a celebration of the works of Edna Ferber including salon readings of 5 brand new one-act plays adapted from Ferber's short stories, a lecture on the story behind Show Boat told by Ferber's great niece and biographer, Julie Gilbert, and a concert reading of Selina Peake written by the Pulitzer prize winning playwright, Horton Foote, based on the Pulitzer prize winning novel, So Big. All presentations will be at West End Arts Center, 132 West End Avenue in Long Branch. 

It was January 25 2011 and Raissa Katona Bennett brought her new show, exploring the music of Jerome Kern to Feinstein's at The Regency Hotel. It got rave reviews from the critics at that time. Len Cariou and Liz Robertson, stars of the original Broadway production of Dance A Little Closer, the Charles Strouse and Alan Jay Lerner musical, have joined the cast of its previously announced concert adaptation, on Monday, April 16 at 7 pm at the Green Room 42. Presented in honor of composer Charles Strouse's 90th birthday by the Second Act Series, the stars will perform two songs they originated in the legendary, infamous and short-lived Broadway production. The abridged concert will also include never-before-heard songs cut during the show's workshop period.
