UnsungMusicalsCo. (UMC) is proud to present Unsung Carolyn Leigh, a special concert produced for Lincoln Center's American Songbook at the Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse tonight, April 5 at 8 PM. The evening, showcasing songs by the Tony- and Grammy-nominated lyricist of Peter Pan, Little Me and How Now Dow Jones, is created and directed by Ben West (The Fig Leaves Are Falling, At Home Abroad, Make Mine Manhattan).

Max von Essen, Erin Davie, Alli Mauzey and other Bway stars will sing lesser-known tunes by the lyricist of 'Peter Pan' and 'Little Me'.

Exactly ten years after closing on Broadway, Boy George's TABOO returned to New York for a very special two-night-only engagement benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The concert starred Matthew Rowland (Boy George) and Samuel Buttery (Leigh Bowery), both of whom reprised their performances from the 2012 revival of TABOO at the Brixton Clubhouse in London. Jeremy Kushnier (Footloose, Jersey Boys, Jesus Christ Superstar) took on the role of 'Philip Sallon.' In the video below, original 'Big Sue' Liz McCartney sings 'Talk Amongst Yourselves.'

Five Broadway Stars singing many of the hit songs they've sung on Broadway, featuring: Danny Zolli (Jesus Christ Super Star) Lawrence Clayton (World Rock Symphony Orchestra, DREAMGIRLS), Jeremy Kushnier (RENT, Footloose), Rita Harvey (Phantom of the Opera, Fiddler on the Roof), Jeanette Bayardelle (The Color Purple, Hair), and Sophia Ramos (Love, Janis, The Twelve). Including songs from such hit Broadway musicals as musicals such as Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Jersey Boys, Chicago, Mamma Mia, WICKED and Jekyll & Hyde supported by an all-star New York band.

In this week's edition, we caught up with Jarrod Spector, who is starring as 'Barry Mann' in Beautiful- currently playing at the Stephen SondheimTheatre, with opening night set for January 12, 2014.

Last night, November 10, Tony Award winner Billy Porter was honored at the NYMF 10th Anniversary Gala, presented at the Hudson Theatre. The special event also celebrated 10 years of creating and nurturing new musical theatre under the leadership of NYMF Co-Founder Isaac Robert Hurwitz.
