Focus Features has released a new featurette for Jon Stewart's Irresistible starring Steve Carell and Rose Byrne, which will premiere at home on demand June 26th.

The six-part limited series THE THIRD DAY, created by Dennis Kelly and Felix Barrett, will now debut this fall. The show was originally scheduled to debut Monday, May 11.

Focus Features will release KAJILLIONAIRE on Friday June 19, 2020 and COME PLAY on Friday, July 24, 2020 domestically in North America.

Created by Dennis Kelly and Felix Barrett, limited series THE THIRD DAY debuts MONDAY, MAY 11, exclusively on HBO. The show's six episodes are divided into “Summer” and “Winter.”

Focus Features has acquired the worldwide rights to Miranda July's Kajillionaire, which premiered to rave reviews at the Sundance Film Festival. Written and directed by July, who won multiple awards at the Cannes Film Festival for Me and You and Everyone We Know including the Critics Week Grand Prize, the Prix Regards Jeune and the Camera d'Or, Kajillionaire stars Golden Globe® nominated Evan Rachel Wood (Westworld), Golden Globe® winner Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin), Academy Award® nominated Richard Jenkins (The Shape of Water), and Academy Award® nominated Debra Winger (The Lovers, Terms of Endearment). Producers are Plan B Entertainment's Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner, and Youree Henley. Plan B Entertainment's Brad Pitt, Annapurna's Megan Ellison, and Jillian Longnecker executive produced. Focus Features will distribute the film in the U.S. and Universal Pictures International will distribute internationally.

The Producers Guild of America (PGA) hosted the 31st Annual Producers Guild Awards on the evening of Saturday, January 18 at the Hollywood Palladium. A full list of winners is below.

Today, the Producers Guild of America announced presenters and a first-time red carpet livestream. In collaboration with YouTube Originals, the livestream event will be available exclusively on Entertainment Tonight's YouTube channel for the 2020 Producers Guild Awards being held Saturday, January 18 at the Hollywood Palladium. Amazon Studios announced today that it has signed a new overall deal for television with the Academy and Emmy Award-winning team at Plan B Entertainment. Under the exclusive new agreement, its first ever devoted to television production, Plan B will develop and produce series to premiere on Amazon Prime Video in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide. Plan B is currently in production with Academy Award-winning director Barry Jenkins on the upcoming Amazon Original series The Underground Railroad, and will also produce the new Amazon Original series Outer Range, created by Brian Watkins. Plan B is also working with Amazon Studios, along with Legendary Television, to develop Paper Girls, a dramatic series based on Brian K. Vaughan's best-selling graphic novel.

The nonprofit Sundance Institute announced today the showcase of new independent feature films selected across all categories for the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. The Festival hosts screenings in Park City, Salt Lake City and at Sundance Mountain Resort, from January 23a?"February 2, 2020. The Sundance Film Festival is Sundance Institute's flagship public program, widely regarded as the largest American independent film festival and attended by more than 120,000 people and 1,300 accredited press, and powered by more than 2,000 volunteers last year.

Netflix has rounded out the cast for Andrew Dominik's “Blonde” starring Ana De Armas.

20th Century Fox has released the second trailer for Ad Astra, starring Brad Astronaut Roy McBride (Brad Pitt) travels to the outer edges of the solar system to find his missing father and unravel a mystery that threatens the survival of our planet. His journey will uncover secrets that challenge the nature of human existence and our place in the cosmos.

The 'mind-bending' story returns with The OA Part II, which follows OA as she navigates a new dimension, one in which she had a completely different life as a Russian heiress, and one in which she once again finds herself as Hap's captive. Part II introduces Karim Washington, a private detective tasked with finding a missing teen, Michelle Vu. His path crosses with OA, as they try to solve the mystery of Michelle's whereabouts and a house on Nob Hill connected to the disappearance of several teenagers. Meanwhile, back in the first dimension, BBA, Angie and the boys find themselves on a journey to understand the truth behind OA's story and the incredible realities she described.

The nonprofit Sundance Institute announced today the showcase of new independent feature films selected across all categories for the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. The Festival hosts screenings in Park City, Salt Lake City and at Sundance Mountain Resort, from January 24 - February 3, 2019.

This morning, Film Independent announced the nominations for the 2019 Film Independent Spirit Awards. The Spirit Awards are the primary fundraiser for Film Independent's year-round programs, which cultivate the careers of emerging filmmakers and promote diversity in the industry. Film Independent President Josh Welsh presided over the press conference held at the W Hotel in Hollywood, with actors Gemma Chan and Molly Shannon presenting the nominations. Nominees for Best Feature included Eighth Grade, First Reformed, If Beale Street Could Talk, Leave No Trace and You Were Never Really Here.
