Just yesterday, Newsies announced that Corey Cott will become the show's new leading man, Jack Kelly, beginning Wednesday, September 5th. Cott became the Jack Kelly alternate earlier this month and will continue as alternate until he assumes the role full time.

For the third time this year, cast members from the breakout American musical Newsies will chat with fans live on YouTube. This Saturday, August 18th at 6:00PM EST, Newsies' Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Ryan Steele, Garett Hawe and Laurie Veldheer will be on hand to talk about the show.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sheryl Lee Ralph will guest star on NBC's Smash season two as Cynthia, mother of Jennifer Hudson's character Veronica Moore. Ralph starred as Deena Jones in Broadway's Dreamgirls in 1981.

As the focus of the show will switch from Marilyn musical, 'Bombshell,' to a new production, Hayes will play 'Terrence Falls, a comedic television and film star who is making his Broadway debut in the musical "Liaisons," based on the novel "Les Liaisons Dangereuses." Due to a series of comic circumstances, he becomes a major thorn in the side for Ivy Lynn (Megan Hilty) and other characters.

There will be an 8:30 after party immediately following the 7 PM performance of SILENCE! The Musical.
