Gloria Estefan could be taking the Broadway stage in the musical based on her life, On Your Feet!

The Broadway Artists Connection (BAC) presents its eighth Broadway Artists & Friends Open Mic & Mingle hosted by 5 time Broadway Veteran, Jennifer Sanchez (ON YOUR FEET) on Monday, May 23rd at 7pm (doors open at 6pm). The evening will be kicked off by a stellar line up of Broadway pros followed by selected 'aspiring artists & friends' at at the legendary Laurie Beechman Theatre, 407 W 42nd Street.

Masterworks Broadway releases the Original Broadway Cast Recording of ON YOUR FEET! 

Award-winning songwriter Joel B. New will present 'Cabot Cove Or Bust,' a one-night-only pop/rock concert, on Sunday, April 24th at 6pm at the Bowery Poetry Club in New York.

THE COLOR PURPLE's Antoine L. Smith, along with ON YOUR FEET cast members Doreen Montalvo & Jennifer Sanchez will perform in the Broadway Artists & Friends Open Mic & Mingle on Monday April 11th at 7pm at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. This Thursday, February 18th, BROADWAY SESSIONS welcomes cast members from Broadway smash ON YOUR FEET! The Story Of Emilio and Gloria Estefan. Cast members will be bringing the heat with an all singing, all dancing extravaganza.

Oklahoma City University has amassed an immense pool of Broadway talent, currently represented this season in Allegiance (Manna Nichols, Belinda Allyn), On Your Feet (Jennifer Sanchez), Shuffle Along (Richard Riaz Yoder), Les Miserables (Matt McMahan), Matilda (Lauralyn McClelland), among others.  These artists, along with other OCU alumni & friends, will be performing in AN EVENING WITH THE STARS, a cabaret benefiting OCUNYC (OCU's New York City alumni chapter), Monday, January 25th at 9:00pm.

Jo-Ann Ragosta, Chairperson of the ARTS Scholarships 2016 program, along with the members of the Community Outreach Committee of the Providence Performing Arts Center, are pleased to announce that applications for the ARTS Scholarships 2016 program will be available starting Monday, January 4, 2016; applications will then be accepted through Friday, February 26, 2016. 

Having gotten to paint the faces of Patti LuPone, Kate Baldwin, Stephanie J. Block and Elizabeth Stanley to name a few, celebrity makeup artist Erin Williams has strong ties with the Broadway community. For Erin's Faces, her eco-friendly makeup and skincare line's, campaign for her Mineral Liquid Foundation it only made sense for Erin to work with more women of Broadway.

Vineyard Arts Project, a nonprofit performing arts residency center on Martha's Vineyard, has announced the cast and creative team of Flying Over Sunset, a new musical to be developed in residence in August. 

Two special industry-only readings of ZAPATA! The Musical have been announced and will take place in New York City on April 15 and 16. Luke Caliente Productions will present the new musical which has music and lyrics by Peter Edwards with a book by Peter & Ana Edwards. Direction will be helmed by J. Scott Lapp.

Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestra's begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven- o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Spirit Award Winner and Drama Desk Award Winner Doreen Montalvo (IN THE HEIGHTS, GIANT, FLASHDANCE) will be celebrating her birthday by hosting Cabaret Cares 9, a benefit for 'Help Is On The Way Today,' a not-for-profit organization assisting children and teens living with HIV/AIDS in both New York City and Africa. The Monday, Nov. 24 show will feature performances by her talented friends, whom she calls 'The Ladies Who Rock.'

UV Productions will present an invite-only industry reading of I GOT FIRED: A Sort-of-True Revenge Musical, with Book, Music and Lyrics by Keith Varney, at 4:00 PM today, Nov 14th, 2014 at Smash Studios (307 W 36th St, 18th Fl).

On November 3rd at 9:30 p.m., The Metropolitan Room and Joseph Macchia present LUCK BE A LADY. The evening will showcase five fabulous ladies from Broadway. Each lady will perform their own mini set. A portion of the door will be donated to Cycle For The Cause Team Eagle.

All readings are by INVITATION only and will be performed at The York Theatre Company in Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).
