A big hit with audiences during the 2006-07 season, James and the Giant Peach in 2014 will offer a memorable experience for new and returning playgoers as a part of SCR's Theatre for Young Audiences series. Casey Stangl, director of last season's Anastaisa Krupnik, returns to direct this adaptation by David Wood of the beloved children's book by Roald Dahl, James and the Giant Peach. The show runs Feb. 7-23 at South Coast Repertory on the Julianne Argyros Stage.

Lois Lowry's admired novel provides the setting for SCR's Theatre for Young Audiences touching play Anastasia Krupnik, adapted by Meryl Friedman. Through her safeguarded journal and her wacky personality the show portrays both hilarious and serious issues in childhood and family life. Landon is now the longest-running Scrooge in the West; in fact, he has missed only three performances in 29 years - and that's despite breaking a toe two different times while running around stage in stocking feet.

South Coast Repertory will present Junie B. Jones and a Little Monkey Business as part of its Theatre for Young Audience series Nov. 6 - 22 on the Julianne Argyros stage. Directed by Casey Stangl, with book, music and lyrics by Joan Cushing, the musical is based on the second in Park's Junie B. Jones series. Low-priced previews are available from Nov. 6 -13. Opening day is Nov. 14.
