BREATH, BOOM Concludes Eclipse's 25th Anniversary Season This November

Eclipse Theatre Company, the only Midwest theatre company to feature one playwright in one season, will conclude its 25th Anniversary 2017 Kia Corthron Season this fall with a production of her 2000 play Breath, Boom, with Mignon McPherson Stewart directing.

Chicago Inclusion Project Announces Casting for Next Reading

Chicago Inclusion Project Founder and Producer Emjoy Gavino is pleased to announce the cast of the next of The Chicago Inclusion Projects reading series, In the Next Room, or the vibratory play by Sarah Ruhl. The reading, presented in partnership with TimeLine Theatre Company and The League of Chicago Theatres, will take place on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 7pm at TimeLine Theatre, 615 W. Wellington Ave., Chicago.

A Red Orchid Theatre Extends THE MUTILATED

?Due to popular demand, A Red Orchid Theatre has extended its critically-acclaimed production of Tennessee Williams' The Mutilated, directed by Ensemble Member Dado. The Mutilated will now run through March 13, 2016. The Mutilated features Ensemble Members Lance Baker, Jennifer Engstrom, Mierka Girten, Steve Haggard, Shade Murray, Doug Vickers and Natalie West with Ciera Dawn, Jennifer Glasse, Roy Gonzalez, Mario Hernandez, Morgan Maher, Lauren Vogel and Dominque Worsley. A Red Orchid Theatre is located at 1531 N Wells.

A Red Orchid Theatre continues its 2015-2016 season with Tennessee Williams' The Mutilated, directed by Ensemble Member Dado. The Mutilated will run January 14 - February 28, 2016 and will feature Ensemble Members Lance Baker, Jennifer Engstrom, Mierka Girten, Steve Haggard, Shade Murray, Doug Vickers and Natalie West with Ciera Dawn, Jennifer Glasse, Roy Gonzalez, Morgan Maher, Jake Saleh, Lauren Vogel and Dominque Worsley. Pegasus Theatre Chicago announces a 'Spring Muse: Hope & Justice' festival, May 19 - 28 at Chicago Dramatists, 1105 W. Chicago Ave., presented in conjunction with the World Premiere of Steven Simoncic's 'Ghost Gardens'. Pegasus presents three unique performances including Rachel DuBose's 'The Healer', stories of love and strength with 'Project Hope' by Hope 31:9, and 'Still I Rise' showcasing multidisciplinary female artists of color. Tickets are $10 each performance and patrons can purchase a special $25 festival pass. Patrons can also purchase a festival pass plus 'Ghost Gardens' tickets for $40. Performances of Steppenwolf Theatre Company's fifth annual Garage Rep are scheduled to begin February 14, 2014, featuring The New Colony's world-premiere production of reWILDing Genius, Prologue Theatre Company's Chicago-premiere production of Saturday Night/Sunday Morning and Walkabout Theater Company's world-premiere production of The Wild. These innovative storefront companies perform in rotating repertory for ten weeks through April 20, 2013 (press performances are March 8 and 9, 2014). Performances are scheduled Wednesday through Sunday in the Garage Theater (1624 N Halsted St); a full performance schedule, including the line-up for Late Night @ Garage Rep, follows.
