Today's big news: the Drama Desk nominees will be announced, the Tonys committee is making its final decisions, and everyone across the country can see Matthew Bourne's reimagining of SLEEPING BEAUTY!

Jeanna de Waal (currently starring in Broadway's Kinky Boots; who also starred in the Off-Broadway revival of Carrie; Green Day's American Idiot on Broadway; We Will Rock You on the West End; and Glinda in the National Tour of Wicked) has joined the lineup of special guests for Martin and Realbuto's Outcasts Like Us concert at 54 Below tonight, April 25.

Popular up and coming writers Tim Realbuto and Matthew Martin (creators of the Broadway-bound musical Ghostlight) will be doing their second concert at 54 Below, following their hugely successful concert last month. This encore presentation is entitled Outcasts Like Us: More Songs by Martin and Realbuto and will benefit the charity STOMP Out Bullying. This brand new show will feature songs from Ghostlight, well-known covers, as well as songs from their new musical, which they have yet to announce.

REEFER MADNESS, the cult classic with book and lyrics by Kevin Murphy and book and music by Dan Studney, just played a one night only benefit concert at New World Stages. Directed by Ilana Ransom Toeplitz and produced by Shoshana Feinstein, the event featured Constantine Maroulis (Jekyll & Hyde, Rock of Ages), Telly Leung ('Glee', Godspell), Harry S. JJJ Productions in Association with Culture Project and Aaron Grant Theatrical, Inc have announced that the world premiere of THE ANTHEM, an original musical lovingly inspired by the classic Ayn Rand Novella, 'Anthem', with a book by Gary Morgenstein, music by Jonnie Rockwell and lyrics by Erik Ransom will begin previews on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, Off-Broadway at Culture Project's Lynn Redgrave Theatre on 45 Bleecker Street. This musical helmed by Rachel Klein officially opens on Thursday, May 29, 2014. Spiderman's JASON GOTAY, Spring Awakening's REMY ZAKEN and RANDY JONES of The Village People lead a cast of theatrical favorites in this rollicking sci-fi musical, featuring an expansive aerial and circus environment, about a revolt of the young against an evil state.

REEFER MADNESS, the cult classic with book and lyrics by Kevin Murphy and book and music by Dan Studney which will return to New York City 13 years after it's limited off-Broadway engagement for a one night only concert event at New World, has added Lea Delaria ('Orange is the New Black'), Amy Spanger (Elf, 'Reefer Madness' film), Andrea McArdle (Annie), John Kassir (Reefer Madness), Lesli Margherita (Matilta) and Jenna Leigh Green (Wicked) to it's lineup. Previously announced cast members include Alan Cumming (Cabaret, 'The Good Wife'), Christian Campbell (Reefer Madness), and Thomas Dekker ('The Secret Circle,' 'A Nightmare on Elm Street').

25 years to the day the film was released, HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL, the new stage adaptation of Daniel Waters' iconic 1989 dark comedy, made its New York premiere at New World Stages. Written by Olivier Award winner and Tony Award nominee Laurence O'Keefe and Emmy Award winner Kevin Murphy, HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL is directed by famed stage and screen director Andy Fickman, with choreography by Emmy Award winner Marguerite Derricks. Ghostlight, the Musical by Tim Realbuto and Matthew Martin, presented a concert a 54 Below on Thursday, March 6th, 2014.
