North Coast Rep Announces 37th Season

North Coast Repertory Theatre launches Season 37 with an intriguing array of riotous comedy, a powerful family drama, a suspense-filled Sherlock Holmes mystery, an eye-opening personal conversation between a U.S. and Soviet arms negotiators, and a colorful musical from the creators of the legendary Broadway musical Guys and Dolls. The compelling lineup includes two West Coast premieres and one World premiere. North Coast Repertory Theatre, a non-profit professional theatre company, has evolved into one of the area's leading performing arts organizations that is recognized for the quality of its work and its commitment to excellence. In a single night, you can be transported to a different time and place and be transformed by the experience.

Michael Urie, Judy Kuhn, and More to Appear at Red Bull Theater's 10th Annual Gala

Jesse Berger (Founding Artistic Director), Jim Bredeson (Managing Director), and the Board of Trustees of Red Bull Theater are pleased to announce the Tenth Annual RUNNING OF THE RED BULLS BENEFIT on Monday March 26th, at 6pm, will celebrate the company's 15th Season and honor Ismenia Mendes, Charlayne Woodard, and The Fund for the City of New York with the 2018 Matador Awards for Excellence in Classical Theater. Proceeds from the evening support all of Red Bull Theater's programs, including the upcoming Off-Broadway premiere of David Ives's The Metromaniacs, directed by Michael Kahn.

Orlando Shakespeare Theater Seeks New Plays For Playfest 2018

Orlando Shakespeare Theater (Orlando Shakes) in Partnership with UCF is seeking new full-length plays to be featured in PlayFest presented by Harriett's Charitable Trust. Past PlayFest plays have dealt with issues of racism, autism, gender, Alzheimer's, immigration, etc. While Shakespeare and classical productions deal with "timeless issues," PlayFest favors new plays that confront modern "issues of our times."

World Premiere of MAGELLANICA Comes to Artists Rep

Artists Rep presents the World Premiere of Magellanica, by E.M. Lewis, directed by Damaso Rodriguez from January 20 through February 18 on the theatre's Morrison Stage. Magellanica is a five-part epic play written by Oregon playwright E.M. Lewis. This production is made possible through major funding from the Oregon Community Foundation (OCF) Creative Heights Initiative and the Edgerton Foundation New Play Award. Magellanica is a part of Portland's Fertile Ground Festival of New Works.

Andy Karl to Lead Benefit Reading of CHASING THE RIVER

Olivier Award winner Andy Karl will star in a benefit reading of CHASING THE RIVER by Jean Giebel. Karen Carpenter (Delia & Nora Ephron's Love Loss and What I Wore) will direct the presentation at The Pershing Square Signature Center's Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre on Monday January 29th(7pm).

Albuquerque Little Theatre Kicks Off the New Year with WAIT UNTIL DARK

Frederick Knott's thriller, adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher, is the story of Susan Hendrix, a recently blinded housewife who unwittingly possesses a doll filled with diamonds. Harry Roat, a brutal and sophisticated criminal, coerces two small-time thugs into helping him con Susan into giving up the doll.

Arnie Burton and Mary Testa Receive Joe A. Callaway Award

Arnie Burton and Mary Testa have been selected to receive the 2017 Joe A. Callaway Award presented by the Actors' Equity Foundation. The award, honoring the best performance in a professional production of a classic play (one written prior to 1920) in the New York metropolitan area, will be presented at Actors' Equity Association's Eastern Regional Membership Meeting at 2 pm on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the Equity offices, 165 West 46th Street in New York. The announcement was made by Arne Gundersen, President of the Foundation, and Joan Glazer, Managing Director.
