Fans of the arts and luxury travel will not want to miss the 27th season of the Vail International Dance Festival this summer, which will take place from July 27-August 10. 

Stella Abrera and Misty Copeland have been promoted to the rank of Principal Dancer with American Ballet Theatre and Skylar Brandt, Thomas Forster, Arron Scott and Cassandra Trenary have been promoted to Soloist effective August 1, 2015.   In addition, Maria Kochetkova, a principal dancer with San Francisco Ballet and Alban Lendorf, a principal dancer with Royal Danish Ballet will join the Company as Principal Dancers and Jeffrey Cirio, a principal dancer with Boston Ballet, will join ABT as a Soloist, it was announced today by Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie.

The Vail International Dance Festival announces its 2015 schedule to be held July 27 through August 10, marking its 27th season with world premieres, exceptional debuts, and captivating collaborations. Located in the pristine alpine community of Vail, Colorado, the Festival features many of the world's greatest artists from all genres of dance. Under the direction of former New York City Ballet star Damian Woetzel, the Festival's 2015 season includes Artist-in-Residence ballerina Carla Körbes, Savion Glover, Wendy Whelan, American Ballet Theatre's Isabella Boylston, Misty Copeland, and Herman Cornejo, New York City Ballet's Sara Mearns, Tiler Peck, Lauren Lovette, Jared Angle, Chase Finlay, Zachary Catazaro, and Joseph Gordon, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's Linda Celeste Sims and Antonio Douthit-Boyd, Boston Ballet's Misa Kuranaga and Jeffrey Cirio, Pacific Northwest Ballet's Angelica Generosa, and Memphis Jookers Lil Buck and Prime Tyme.

Boston Ballet's fiftieth anniversary tour culminated in an in-your-face Lincoln Center season. Koch Theater on the June 29th matinee. Boston Ballet's 51st season kicks off with the world premiere of Mikko Nissinen's Swan Lake, featuring glorious new sets and costumes by award winning designer Robert Perdziola. The season continues with the beloved new production of Nissinen's The Nutcracker and Val Caniparoli's romantic drama Lady of the Camellias. The spring season heats up with a burst of contemporary and neo-classical choreography from masters such as William Forsythe, Jerome Robbins, Helen Pickett, and Wayne McGregor, including the Company premieres of George Balanchine's Episodes and Hans van Manen's Black Cake. Adding to the excitement, Boston Ballet will present world premieres by Resident Choreographer Jorma Elo and Principal Dancer Jeffrey Cirio.

Boston Ballet brings the spring season to a triumphant close with George Balanchine's jubilant classic, Coppélia. Brimming with delightful characters and intricate choreography, Coppélia is a captivating full-length story ballet that will charm both young and old. The production runs from May 16-26, 2013 at The Boston Opera House.
