Actors Theatre is launching a two-show summer schedule to help fill at least one empty theatre stage during a time of year that has historically been very quiet.

Ashley Kate Adams, actress and producer, will star as Athena in 'The Anthem' now at the Culture Project in New York City. This original show is based on the book of the same name by Ayn Rand. Adams shared some insights about the show and her career with Broadwayworld.com.

Actors Theatre brings Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire's darkly funny and surprisingly touching look at a struggling south Boston woman's backdoor attempt to find a fresh start, Good People, to the Arizona Opera Center, 1636 N. Central Ave., from today, April 25 to May 11.

The New York premiere of 'Thankskilling the Musical' will begin on April 29th as part of the 'Festival of the Offensive.' The casting has been announced for the show which will be performed at The Producers' Club, Crown Theatre on West 44th Street.

Title of Show's Susan Blackwell will host Cutting-Edge Composers at 54 Below on 2/17 at 9:30pm! She will be joined by Broadway performers Ben Platt (Book of Mormon), Ben Fankhauser (Newsies), Emma Hunton (Next to Normal) and many more as they present material from new musicals by up-and-coming composers. A production of 'ThanksKilling, The Musical' is preparing for its New York City premiere at the first annual 'Festival of the Offensive' that will be held at The Producers' Club from April 28th through May 4th.

After a critically acclaimed World Premiere at the Balagan Theatre in Seattle Washington, ThanksKilling The Musical will be making its New York debut at the 1st annual Festival of the Offensive this spring.

Nic Rouleau, currently starring in The Book of Mormon on Broadway, and Donna Vivino, who played Elphaba in Broadway's Wicked, will sing songs from brand new musicals in the Cutting-Edge Composers concert at 54 Below on 2/17 at 9:30pm.

On February 17th at 9:30pm, Cutting-Edge Composers will present their fifth concert at 54 Below! Committed to showcasing up-and-coming musical theatre writers by providing them with concert venues, Broadway performers and musicians, Cutting-Edge Composers has an exclusive video spotlight on Broadwayworld.com. The concert, directed and produced by Laura Pietropinto, with Musical Direction by Julie McBride and Benjamin Rauhala, will feature songs from new musicals in the works.

A total of 46 established and emerging writers, composers and lyricists will converge on the Goodspeed campus in East Haddam, CT this month to participate in the Johnny Mercer Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing nearly 30 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration.

'Go Where the Love Is,' a star studded musical show with the music of Jeff Thomson will be performed at 54 Below on Monday, January 13th at 9:30 pm. The show is produced by Ashley Kate Addams, directed by Jen Bender with musical direction by Joshua Stephen Kartes.

Contestants in LA's Next Great Stage Star competition had an exciting second week on Sunday, January 12th. The theme for this round was Breaking New Ground - A Little New Music, and featured songs from some of today's most up and coming musical theatre writers.
