Pioneer Theatre Company's 2017-2018 season will open with the Utah premiere of the Tony Award-winning The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, based on the bestselling novel by Mark Haddon.

The Drama Book Shop is pleased to welcome playwrights Courtney Baron (A Very Common Procedure, The Blue Room) and Jeff Talbott (The Submission) for a discussion about their latest works, opening at New York's Keen Company and The Actors Company Theatre (TACT) later this month.

TACT continues its 2016 - '17 season with the World Premiere of The Gravedigger's Lullaby, a play that arrives on the Mainstage by way of the company's 2015 newTACTics New Play Festival where it was workshopped and developed. Previews are on now at The Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues), prior to Opening Night on Sunday, March 12th. TACT has announced that Aisha De Haas (Rent, Caroline or Change), Peter Gregus (Jersey Boys), Capathia Jenkins (Newsies, Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me, Caroline or Change), Liz Larsen (Beautiful, Hairspray, The Most Happy Fella), Judy McLane (Mamma Mia!, Chess, Aspects of Love) and Billy Stritch (Liza's at the Palace, 42nd Street, Sondheim: A Celebration at Carnegie Hall) will star along with newcomers Patrick Dunn, Kelly McIntyre and Zoe Kassay, in an evening of song to benefit the company, supporting TACT's mission and programming.

In November, New Conservatory Theatre Center presents the regional premiere of Stephen Karam's Pulitzer Prize Finalist, Sons of the Prophet, to be directed by NCTC Artistic Associate Ben Randle.

In 2017, Proper Hijinx is maintaining their commitment to contemporary works focusing on timely issues and relatable characters. We will begin the season with A Steady Rain by Keith Huff- a two-hander drama focusing on the lives and stories of two police officers that have been friends for a lifetime. Tensions rise through differing opinions and personal tactics as the plot unfurls. 'Though not the newest play of the season, it is one that I certainly see as timely', says artistic director Stefany Cambra. 'Societal tensions are rising and it's no secret that focus is turned towards law enforcement as we examine our expectations of those who are expected to protect and serve. I love this script for giving us an examination of the person behind the badge'. A Steady Rain will open the 2017 season, running from February 9- 19.

Hawkins, Associate Artistic Director) today began rehearsals for the cast for a rare NY revival of Oliver Goldsmith's She Stoops To Conquer, which will kick off the theatre's 2016 - '17 season.    

Pioneer Theatre Company announces the titles for the fourth season of its reading series, 'Play-by-Play.' Play-by-Play provides developmental rehearsal periods for three new plays each season, with the playwright working alongside a professional director and cast for a week-long residency, culminating in three public readings of each play available to theatregoers at a very modest cost. 

Crowded Outlet, is proud to announce the New York premiere of Marisa Michelson's Marigold Chor Ensemble. Assembled by Michelson (Jonathan Larson Award Grant winner, Tamar of the River) and featuring many multi-hyphenate artistic creators, the experiment will be performed Sunday, October 16th at 5pm at Judson Memorial Church.
