FLINT World Premiere by Jeff Daniels to Headline Purple Rose Theatre's 27th Season

Wild Swan Theater is pleased to announce that we are the recipient of The 2017 State History Award for Education: Educational Programs from the Historical Society of Michigan for our production of Rosie the Riveter and associated educational materials. The 2017 State History Awards will be presented during its annual State History conference in Holland, Michigan, September 22-24, 2017. The Society presents the State History Awards every year to individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the appreciation, collection, preservation, and /or promotion of state and local history. The awards are the highest recognition presented by the Historical Society of Michigan, the state's official historical society and oldest cultural organization.

Wild Swan Theater Co-Artistic Directors Hilary Cohen and Sandy Ryder announce the company's 38th season of performances. The Purple Rose Theatre, Yankee Air Museum and Friends of the Chelsea District Library will honor America's Veterans with a concert reading by professional actors of The Purple Rose of the new play Willow Run by Jeff Duncan, playwright in residence at the Wild Swan Theatre in Ann Arbor. This free event is open to the public and will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 19 at the Chelsea Village Conference Center, 1645 Commerce Park Drive, Chelsea.

New York Live Arts today announced the seven artists selected for the 2014-15 Fresh Tracks Performance and Residency Program. The 2014-15 Fresh Tracks artists are Same As Sister (S.A.S.)/Briana Brown-Tipley and Hilary Brown, Nico Brown, He Jin Jang, Niall Jones, Julie Mayo and Lindsay Reuter. These artists will present their works in the Fresh Tracks performance showcase, January 29 - 31, 2015, at 7:30pm.
