Playwrights Horizons, responding to critical acclaim and popular demand, announces a two-week extension of the world premiere production of Heroes of the Fourth Turning.

The desire to see our current president out of office as soon as possible can be regarded as a bit of common ground between the five conservatives depicted on stage and the liberals who traditionally populate the vast majority of seats at non-profit Off-Broadway theatres.  The ground most likely collapses, however, when it comes to how they regard the prospect of a Mike Pence presidency.

Playwrights Horizons (Artistic Director Tim Sanford, Managing Director Leslie Marcus) is, from now through Thursday, September 5, at noon, accepting entries for the Live for Five online lottery, giving out $5 tickets to the world premiere production of Heroes of the Fourth Turning, written by Will Arbery (Plano, Evanston Salt Costs Climbing) and directed by Danya Taymor (a?oeDaddy,a?? Pass Over). In Heroes of the Fourth Turning, four young conservatives have gathered at a backyard after-party in rural Wyoming.

Ten Bones Theatre Company will present the World Premiere of Pete McElligott's dark comedy In a Little Room, directed by Patrick Vassel at The Wild Project (195 East 3rd Street between Avenue A and Avenue B), tonight, September 9, through September 24 with performances Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30pm and Saturday and Sunday at 2pm.

Roger's Oslo, produced by Lincoln Center Theater, shared the Obie Awards for Best New American Theatre Work, which is accompanied by a $500 prize each. Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel received a special Obie Award for Lifetime Achievement.
