Prince George's Little Theatre will produce the classic ghost story "The Uninvited" at the Bowie Playhouse from April 28 to May 13. All Friday performances and Saturday performances April 29 and May 6 are at 8 p.m. The Sunday performances April 30 and May 7 and the closing performance Saturday, May 13 are 2 p.m. matinees. The play is directed by Keith Brown and produced by Malia Murray.

The award winning New Stage Theatre Company will open its new permanent home, The New Stage Performance Space, located at 36 West 106th Street, Manhattan, from March 31 to April 30 with the debut production of 'Rules,' a multimedia theatre piece conceived and directed by Ildiko Nemeth.  The piece is based on 'The Rules' by Charles L. Mee, a play from his (re)making project.

The Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) announced today the appointment of two new Trustees: Andi Potamkin Blackmore and Simon Bolton. The Board of Trustees also named current Finance Committee Chair Michael Dweck Treasurer. The election took place at the December 8, 2016, board meeting.

The Costume Institute's Fall 2016 exhibition, Masterworks: Unpacking Fashion, on view in the Anna Wintour Costume Center from November 18, 2016, through February 5, 2017, will featuresignificant acquisitions of the past 10 years. The show, curated by Assistant Curator Jessica Regan with support from Curator in Charge Andrew Bolton, will explore how the department has honed its collecting strategy to amass masterworks of the highest aesthetic and technical quality, including iconic works by designers who have changed the course of fashion history and advanced fashion as an art form.

Lyricist/librettist, Michael Colby, author of the memoir,  'The Algonquin Kid-Adventures Growing Up at New York's Legendary Hotel," celebrated his 65th Birthday on Sunday, Oct. 30th with a fundraiser/musical event for Child Find of America. 'Quel Fromage II'  featured performers from Broadway and cabaret, including members of TADA! For the 2016-2017 season, Carnegie Hall has appointed Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Steve Reich to hold the Richard and Barbara Debs Composer's Chair.

Director Keith Greer has begun working on A COLD DECEMBER. Casting is nearly complete for the premiere staged-reading on Monday, November 14, at The Bernie Wohl Center at 7pm.

The NY Dance and Performance Awards, The Bessies, New York City's premier dance awards honoring outstanding creative work in the field, announced the complete list of the 2015-16 season award recipients tonight at the 32nd Annual Bessie Awards ceremony.
