This holiday season, for the first time in Buffalo, the award-winning Broadway hit A Christmas Story, The Musical brings the beloved classic movie to life at Shea's Buffalo Theatre December 13-18, 2016 for eight performances.

Some grand holiday traditions are exactly what is needed in these turbulent times and nothing is more pleasing than the 2016 version of Nashville Repertory Theatre's live stage version of A Christmas Story, the theatrical treatment of the movie of the same name that somehow captures all the memories and nostalgia, all the laughter and mayhem of the holiday season.

This holiday season, for the first time in Atlanta, one of America's favorite Christmas movies comes to life on stage in a hilarious, large scale Broadway musical, at the Fox Theatre from November 29 - December 4 as part of the 2016/2017 Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta season.

The beloved holiday film is being brought to life live-on-stage as the award-winning Broadway show, A Christmas Story, The Musical, embarks on an eight-city National Tour this holiday season. Four leads from the 2015 tour will return to reprise their roles for the third season of Big League's critically acclaimed production. A Christmas Story, The Musical will debut in Atlanta at the Fox Theatre from November 29 - December 4 as part of the 2016/2017 Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta season.

The Chicago Premiere of playwright Matty Selman's "Uncle Philip's Coat" will run at the Greenhouse Theater Center (2257 N. Lincoln Ave) Nov. 27 - Dec. 31. Directed by Elizabeth Margoliusand starring Gene Weygandt (best known as The Wonderful Wizard of Oz in "Wicked" in Chicago and on Broadway), "Uncle Philip's Coat" follows Matty on his humorous and heartfelt journey of personal discovery, sparked by his inheritance of a tattered coat from his eccentric Russian-Jewish immigrant uncle Philip. 

Over 100 military guests and their families attended a special performance of A Christmas Story: The Musical at Citadel Theatre, 300 S. Waukegan Road, in Lake Forest the evening of Thrusday, November 17.

The hit show 'A Christmas Story: The Musical' is at The Media Theatre November 9 to January 8. It's suitable for all ages and makes a great outing for families during the holiday season. 

Sierra Rep invites families with children ages six and older to arrive early Friday, November 18 for free balloons, face painting, holiday crafts and photos before the 7 p.m. performance of 'A Christmas Story.' Tickets for the 'Kids Night Out' performance are just $15 for children ages 6 to 17 (using code 'KIDS' online) and $25 for adults (using code 'KIDS2' online). Activities begin at 6 p.m.
