New York Premiere of Ballet Preljocaj's SNOW WHITE Set for Lincoln Center, April 23-27, 2014

The Joyce Theater Foundation will present the New York premiere of Ballet Preljocaj's widely praised production of Snow White, with choreography by Angelin Preljocaj at the David H. Koch Theater. This international eventwill only be in New York City for six performances, from April 23 - 27, 2014. Preljocaj's Snow White marks the third Joyce Theater presentation in as many years at Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater, following the acclaimed 2012 engagement of Sylvie Guillem in 6000 miles away and last year's spectacular appearance by The Netherlands Dans Theater. Fiona Shaw to Bring THE TESTAMENT OF MARY to Barbican in May; Full 2014 Line-Up Announced

The Barbican today announced a stellar program of events for spring and summer 2014, pushing the boundaries of all major art forms for its diverse audiences. This new program builds on the most successful year ever for the Barbican, with attendances for events at the Centre exceeding 1 million for the first time, an increase of 36% on 2011/12. In this Olympics year, box office receipts also rose 33%, and the Barbican's commercial income increased by 35%.

'The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk' Opens at the Brooklyn Museum Today

For almost four decades, Jean Paul Gaultier has shaped the look of contemporary fashion with his avant-garde creations and cutting-edge designs. The Brooklyn Museum will be the only East Coast venue for The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk, the first international exhibition of this celebrated French couturier's work. On view in Brooklyn from today, October 25, 2013, through February 23, 2014, this spectacular overview of Gaultier's extensive oeuvre will include exclusive material not exhibited in previous venues of the tour, such as pieces from his recent haute couture and ready-to-wear collections and stage costumes worn by Beyonce.

Brooklyn Museum Unveils November and December Public Programs

During November and December the Brooklyn Museum presents a variety of public programs for adults and kids, including special Veterans Day Weekend programming, a Thursday evening listening event presented by StoryCorps' Military Voices Initiative, musical performances by the Brooklyn Conservatory Community Orchestra and the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra, and the seventh annual Brooklyn Children's Book Fair with readings by Brooklyn-based authors Adam Gidwitz and Oliver Jeffers.The full line up is as follows:

VIDEO: Jean Paul Gaultier on New Exhibit at Brooklyn Museum, Opening 10/25

To mark the opening at the Brooklyn Museum on October 25 of the The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk, a short video has just been released about the exhibition, which will be on view through February 23, 2014. Featuring Jean Paul Gaultier speaking about the Brooklyn presentation and top model and Gaultier muse Karlie Kloss earing his iconic designs, it was directed by Stéphane Sednaoui, the noted French photographer, director, and producer.
