Horse Trade Presents LESBIAN LOVE OCTAGON, 6/5-29

Horse Trade Theater Group in association with Cause Dyke Drama and Wreckio Ensemble will present LESBIAN LOVE OCTAGON, written and directed by Kimberlea Kressal (Bail Out: The Musical with Wreckio Ensemble) with music and additional lyrics by Will Larche (We Put The Spring In Springfield: The Music of The Simpsons), June 5-29 at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery). The production will feature Jenny Atwood (European tour of SHOUT!), Taneisha Duggan* (Get to Nomi at La Mama), Kristian Espiritu (Funny Girl in Los Angeles), Jax Jackson (Teddy Ferrara at The Goodman in Chicago), Kelly Lockwood-Larson (Angry Young Women in Low Rise Jeans with High Class Issues), Lindsay Naas* (Urinetown! at The Secret Theatre), Caitlin Lee Reid* (The Break Up Notebook with ReVision Theatre), and Tiwith an ensemble of Felicia Blum (Tess: A New Rock Opera at NYMF), Tracie Franklin*, Jaimie Kelton*, Bernadette Marshman, Allison O'Braza, and Lauren Sapienza*. The creative team will include Lighting Design by Pamela Kupper (Crazy for the Dog at the Jean Cocteau Rep) and Scenic Design by Michael McClain. The world-premiere production of the Goodman-commissioned Teddy Ferrara by Pulitzer Prize finalist Christopher Shinn is directed by Evan Cabnet. This stirring exploration of an on-campus tragedy features Liam Benzvi (Gabe), Patrick Clear (University President), Rashaad Hall (Nicky), Ryan Heindl (Teddy Ferrara), Christopher Imbrosciano (Jay), Jax Jackson (Jaq), Dev Kennedy and Fawzia Mirza (Campus Police), Paloma Nozicka (Jenny), Adam Poss (Drew), Josh Salt (Tim), Kelli Simpkins (Ellen) and Janet Ulrich Brooks (University Provost). TEDDY FERRARA Begins 2/2 at the Goodman Theatre

Rehearsals are underway for the world-premiere production of the Goodman-commissioned Teddy Ferrara by Pulitzer Prize finalist Christopher Shinn, praised as 'among the most provocative and probing of American playwrights today' (The New York Times). Evan Cabnet directs this stirring exploration of an on-campus tragedy with a cast that includes Liam Benzvi (Gabe), Patrick Clear (University President), Rashaad Hall (Nicky), Ryan Heindl (Teddy Ferrara), Christopher Imbrosciano (Jay), Jax Jackson (Jaq), Dev Kennedy and Fawzia Mirza (Campus Police), Paloma Nozicka (Jenny), Adam Poss (Drew), Josh Salt (Tim), Kelli Simpkins (Ellen) and Janet Ulrich Brooks (University Provost). The design team includes Jenny Mannis (Costume Designer), Keith Parham (Lighting Designer), Lee Savage (Set Designer) and Richard Woodbury (Sound Designer). Goodman Theatre announces casting for the world-premiere production of Teddy Ferrara by Pulitzer Prize finalist Christopher Shinn, praised as 'among the most provocative and probing of American playwrights today' (The New York Times) and noted as having 'his finger firmly on both the political and dramatic pulse of our times" (The Telegraph). A Goodman Theatre Commission-and part of the Goodman's 2011 New Stages festival-Teddy Ferrara, directed by Evan Cabnet, explores what happens when a tragedy sparks a movement--and the truth gets lost along the way.

QUEERING HISTORY, a new play by Maggie Keenan-Bolger, will be presented as a reading on Sunday, August 19th at 8PM to benefit Green Chimneys NYC, an organization fostering LGBT homeless kids who have been ejected from their homes for their sexual orientation.
