Award-winning non-for-profit Broadway Sings for Pride (www.BroadwaySingsForPride.com) held their 6th annual PRIDE benefit concert on Monday, June 20, 2016. To start the night, Daniel Quadrino, from Broadway's Wicked and Newsies, sang 'Imagine' to reflect on the tragedy that happened in Orlando. He was joined onstage by members of the New York community, to echo the sentiment that New York stands behind Orlando and that art can be used to inspire and change minds. Earlier this week, the company of the 2014 revival of SIDE SHOW reunited at the The LGBT Community Center for a special CD release event. The cast, including Erin Davie, Emily Padgett, Matthew Hydzik, Javier Ignacio, Isaiah Johnson and Brandon Andrus, performed numbers from the show and then participated in a Q&A Panel. Actors and musicians from the recent Broadway revival of SIDE SHOW come back together to perform some favorites from the show, songs cut or never used and new arrangements of some familiar numbers.
The all-new Broadway cast recording of Side Show is on its way! The album will be released by Broadway Records on February 17, and will be available from Amazon and iTunes on February 24. Boasting Side Show's legendary and beloved score, which now includes new music, and featuring the acclaimed vocal performances of the Broadway cast, the new original Broadway cast recording of Side Show is produced by six-time Grammy Award winning producer Frank Filipetti.
