Baltimore composer Adam Gwon is finally given a chance to show his extraordinary talent in Maryland.

June is bustin' out all over with a series of four special cabaret concerts taking place in the intimate Alma Theater nestled in the heart of Cain Park. The concert dates for the series are June 19, 21, 26 and 28. All Cabaret Series concerts begin at 7:00 PM, and are made possible with support from WCPN 90.3 FM.

On Wednesday afternoon, friends and family of Tony-nominated actress Kelli O'Hara gathered for an intimate luncheon at Lidia Bastianich's famed New York restaurant Becco. Jason Robert Brown, Steven Pasquale, Greg Naughton, and Lidia Bastianich herself raised a glass to O'Hara and her achievements this season in Bridges of Madison County. Good morning, BroadwayWorld! Because we know all our readers eat, sleep and breathe Broadway, what could be better than waking up to it? Today's big news: DRIVING MISS DAISY, starring Lansbury and Jones, hits movie theaters today, while the NY Phil's CANDIDE concert, featuring Chenoweth and LuPone, is out online!

Producers of the upcoming Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman's Pulitzer Prize winning drama You Can't Take It With You announce that Tony Award nominee Kristine Nielsen (Vonya and Sonia and Masha and Spike) joins previously announced Tony Award and Outer Critics Circle winner James Earl Jones (Gore Vidal's The Best Man, Fences, The Great White Hope) as Penelope Sycamore in the cast. Further casting will be announced soon.

Evening Star Productions' debut season concluded in May with a sold out run of Nevermore, Matt Conner's haunting musical based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe. Their second season promises to offer audiences another entertaining and eclectic year of theatre.

It's that time of year, and I can't help but wonder if your CD collection and iPod are Tonys ready. This Broadway season has some really interesting contenders in the musical categories, and to get you ready for the big night, I'm recapping the albums you should be listening to (or at the very least pre-ordering).

The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and legendary Broadway star and Theatre Hall of Fame Inductee Betty Buckley, present Story Songs IV, a benefit concert featuring her Spring Song Interpretation Workshop participants. The concert is set for tonight, June 3 at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth at 7:30 PM.

Barnes & Noble just celebrated the new Ghostlight Records cast recording of The Bridges of Madison County, the new romantic musical which recently closed at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street), with a special in-store performance and CD signing.The event featured stars Kelli O'Hara and Steven Pasquale, in addition to other cast members. The composer/lyricist Jason Robert Brown joined them at the piano, with Justin Goldner and Gary Sieger on guitars and Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf on cello. Just last night, Drama Desk and Tony Award winner Laura Benanti ('The Sound of Music Live!', Gypsy, Women On The Verge of a Nervous Breakdown) hosted the 59th Annual Drama Desk Awards at The Town Hall (123 W. 43rd Street). Big winners for the night included Audra McDonald, Bryan Cranston, Jessie Mueller, and Neil Patrick Harris and Jefferson Mays- who tied for Outstanding Actor in a Musical.

Plus, newly crowned Tony king Neil Patrick Harris got lucky in front of an audience of millions in full crazypants HEDWIG & THE ANGRY INCH drag, while Audra McDonald made history by winning her sixth statuette.
