Penobscot Theatre Company proudly announces its 42nd Season, offering four Maine premieres, a world premiere, a holiday classic, and beloved musicals. The season will kick-off September 10 and extend into early summer 2016, longer than usual to accommodate a blockbuster seventh show as yet to be announced.
After a sold-out initial run in Thousand Oaks, Panic! Productions is bringing its hit production of Jason Robert Brown's musical "13" to the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood for two performances, May 8 and 9. The high-energy show, with a cast of 19 teens, features music and lyrics by Tony Award-winner Jason Robert Brown, with a book by Dan Elish and Robert Horn. Last month, composer Georgia Stitt along with violinist Victoria Paterson and Kate Baldwin reunited at SubCulture to perform 'Alphabet City Cycle.' Originally recorded in 2009, the song cycle with lyrics by Marcy Heisler consists of five songs about women alone in New York City.
