Huffman, Stanley Cast In 1 Night Show At NY Theater Barn 4/6

Tony Award-winner Cady Huffman (The Producers, The Will Rogers Follies), Elizabeth Stanley (Company, Cry-Baby), and Celina Carvajal (Cats, 42nd Street, Dracula, Tarzan) are set to appear in the special one-night only performance of Hey, You Know What Movie Would Make a Good Musical? being presented by New York Theatre Barn on Monday, April 6th at the Julia Miles Theatre. Broadway In Chicago presents Broadway's surprise hit musical XANADU at Chicago's Drury Lane Theatre Water Tower Place. The show officially opens tonight, Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Individual and group tickets are currently on sale for this fabulously fun, out-of-this-world musical confection. This wildly funny musical delivers a surprisingly touching story about the nine magical muse-daughters of Zeus, who come to earth in 1980 (disguised in roller skates, leg warmers and Australian accents) to inspire humans to create truly great work and discover the meaning of the universe's greatest secret: the Gift of XANADU. Zeus' most important decree is they can't fall in love with any mortals! But all that changes when the young Kira (Elizabeth Stanley) meets the handsome artist Sonny (Max von Essen), who needs her help in achieving his greatest dream. It is only when Sonny teaches Kira the true meaning of inspiration, that the secret of XANADU is revealed!

It's XanaDU Year's Eve! La Jolla Playhouse hosts a special New Year's Eve event to celebrate the run of its musical comedy Xanadu and the beginning of a new year on December 31, 2008. Roll into 2009 with this performance and dance party from 9:00pm to 1:00am in the Mandell Weiss Theatre and the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre at La Jolla Playhouse.
