Madison Opera opens its 50th anniversary season with Mozart's classic comedy The Marriage of Figaro on Friday, Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 7 at 2:30 p.m. in Overture Hall.

In July 2011, Madison Opera also celebrates the 10th anniversary of Opera in the Park, a Madison Summer Tradition.
The Atlanta Opera's Zurich General Director Dennis Hanthorn announced today the details of the company's 2010-2011 season, its fourth in the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. The Atlanta Opera's new season, featuring Puccini's beloved La bohème, Gershwin's American classic Porgy and Bess, and Mozart's funny and poignant Così fan tutte, will be presented October 2, 2010 through April 17, 2011. Nashville Opera presents Giacomo Puccini's La bohème at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center's Andrew Jackson Hall on Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18. Curtain for both performances is 8:00 p.m. Tickets range from $17 in the Student Section to $80 in Premiere/Orchestra section, with a limited number of 'pay-what-you-can' tickets available directly from the Nashville Opera office. A free discussion of the work takes place one hour prior to curtain in the theatre.
