THE TWO WORLDS OF CHARLIE F Begins Performances 2/25 at Princess of Wales Theatre

In January 2012, something remarkable happened at the prestigious Theatre Royal Haymarket in London, UK. After lengthy workshops with over 30 medically discharged military personnel and a professional playwright and director, a new play entitled THE TWO WORLDS OF CHARLIE F was unveiled at two fund-raising evenings. The audience, which was comprised of many of the UK's leading actors, theatre practitioners and seasoned theatergoers, was astonished to witness such a powerful and unforgettable examination of the cost of war. The response was so great that the show was taken to the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where it too received standing ovations, five-star reviews, full houses and was awarded the festival's coveted Amnesty International Award for Freedom of Expression.

Jason Carr will make his cabaret debut at The Pheasantry Chelsea (voted best cabaret venue in London), performing five nights from today, 28th January to 1st February, 8.15 to 9.30 PM, with Janie Dee late night on the same dates from 9.45 to approximately 11 PM.

After the success of A Little Night Music in Concert, Alex Parker returns to the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre for one night with a concert that features the music of three of Broadway's greatest composers. Some of the musicals represented in the evening include La Cage Aux Folles, Hello Dolly, Mame, Dear World, Mack & Mabel, Funny Girl, Gypsy, Follies, Company, Sunday In The Park With George, Road Show and many more. The music of Broadway legendary composers Jule Styne, Jerry Herman and Stephen Sondheim is set for Sunday, 16th February 2014 at 7 p.m. in Guildford.

In the centenary anniversary of the outbreak of World War 1, the play The Two Worlds of Charlie F, which was first performed in January 2012 at two charity fund-raising evenings at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, will start a new UK tour in 2014, preceded by a two-week run at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto, Canada. The tour, which will be supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, will be supporting The Royal British Legion by raising funds at each performance. It will be performed by medically discharged military personnel, as well as professional actors.
