2015 Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction Raises Record-Breaking Amount for BC/EFA

Broadway fans celebrated the 29th Annual Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction by bidding on and buying everything from tickets to a bevy of opening night performances to custom-made music mixes, from autographed musical phrases to once-in-a-lifetime theatrical experiences. The result: a record $756,655 was raised for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Farah Alvin and Jarrod Spector Will Lead Reading of DATE OF A LIFETIME Musical

Producers Michael Alden, George DeMarco, Frank Evans and Jack Lechner announced today that they will present a private reading of the new musical DATE OF A LIFETIME on Thursday, September 17th. Four time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks (Guys and Dolls) serves as Creative Consultant. Date of a Lifetime features a book and lyrics by Carl Kissin and music by Rob Baumgartner, Jr.

Many women have taken to social media to celebrate the day by posting photos of themselves flexing in honor of the iconic World War II era Rosie the Riveter. Rosie was symbolic of the millions of American women who kept the country running while many young men were over seas fighting. The full cast of Beautiful-The Carole King Musical, the smash hit musical about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, will perform in City Parks Foundation's SummerStage festival in Central Park for one-night-only, tonight, August 3 at 8:00 PM (doors open at 7:00 PM).

BROADWAY BARKS announces their 17th annual star-studded dog and cat adoption event to benefit New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. Founded by Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore, this event features celebrities from the hottest shows on Broadway.  The event, produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, will take place on Saturday, July 11 in Shubert Alley (located between 44th and 45th Streets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue). The festivities begin at 3:00 p.m. where you meet all the adoptable dogs and cats; celebrity presentations of adoptable pets will take place between 5:00-6:30 p.m. This year's event will be co-hosted by Bernadette Peters and Andrew Rannells (The Book of Mormon, HBO's 'Girls'). The event is free and open to the public.

Tony Nominee Jarrod Spector Comes to Feinstein's at the Nikko This Week

Tony Award nominee Jarrod Spector will bring his acclaimed show, A Little Help from My Friends, to Feinstein's at the Nikko for two performances - today, June 25 (8 p.m.) and tomorrow, June 26 (8 p.m.).  Featuring a full band and back-up singers, Jarrod takes the audience on a joyous ride of great songs everyone knows and tells a vivid story about his time as the iconic Frankie Valli in the hit Broadway musical, Jersey Boys.
