Alec Baldwin is set to star as Batman's father in the JOKER origin film, according to Variety. Baldwin will play Thomas Wayne and appear opposite Joaquin Phoenix.

Entercom announced today a two-hour live commercial-free broadcast special to raise awareness around mental health and suicide prevention as part of its multi-platform "I'm Listening" campaign. The "I'm Listening" broadcast will air across all of the company's stations nationwide on Sunday, September 9 at 7:00 a.m. in their respective time zone, and via their livestreams on Radio.com, to mark the start of National Suicide Prevention Week. The year-long campaign also includes suicide prevention PSAs, on-air promos and a dedicated website with information and resources to end the stigma around mental health discussions. 

Jared Leto has signed with WME for film and television representation, according to Variety.

According to Variety, actor/singer Jared Leto has signed on as the lead in the forthcoming SPIDER-MAN spinoff, titled MORBIUS. The film is set to be directed by Daniel Espinosa. Leto has reportedly been attached to the film for some time now, but has not confirmed until now. Production is expected before the end of this year. Read more about the news from Variety here!

According to Variety, Joaquin Phoenix is in talks to tackle the iconic role of the Joker in Warner Bros. and Todd Phillips' untitled Joker origin movie. Todd Phillips has made it clear that Phoenix is the top choice for the role, though studio negotiations are not yet underway. Sources have told Variety that Phoenix has agreed to the role. WB has yet to comment. Phillips is set to co-write and direct the film.
