Sony Pictures Classics's CARNAGE will be released in select theaters in New York and Los Angeles on December 16th, 2011. The upcoming film adaptation of Yasmina Reza's original play and Tony Award winning Broadway production GOD OF CARNAGE! is an ensemble cast of Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet, Christoph Waltz, and John C. As BroadwayWorld.com first reported this weekend, FOLLIES star Jan Maxwell was hit by a minivan while crossing 45th Street following the Saturday, October 29 matinee. The star suffered injuries to her arm and leg. She was unable to perform on Saturday night and was also be out at the Sunday matinee to stay home and recuperate. Her understudy, Colleen Fitzpatrick, went on in her absence this weekend. BroadwayWorld has just confirmed with a spokesperson for the show that Maxwell is back and better, and will resume performances tonight, November 1.

Roman Polanski's upcoming God of Carnage features John C. Reilly, Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet and Christoph Waltz in the movie version of Yasmina Reva's Tony-winning play. The film just debuted this summer at the Venice Film Festival (August 31- September 10) and opened the New York Film Festival on September 30.
