WONDERLAND - A New Alice. A New Musical has confirmed complete casting: Janet Dacal (In The Heights) as Alice, Darren Ritchie (Little Shop of Horrors, Thoroughly Modern Millie) as White Knight, E. Clayton Cornelious as Caterpillar, Jose Llana (Spelling Bee, Flower Drum Song) as El Gato, Karen Mason (Hairspray, Mamma Mia!) as Queen of Hearts, Kate Shindle (Legally Blonde, Cabaret, Jekyll and Hyde) as Mad Hatter, Carly Rose Sonenclar (Les Miserables, Little House on the Prairie) as Chloe and Edward Staudenmayer (Spamalot, Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me) as White Rabbit. With a book by Gregory Boyd and Jack Murphy, lyrics by Jack Murphy, music by Frank Wildhorn, choreography by Marguerite Derricks and direction by Gregory Boyd, WONDERLAND will open at Broadway's Marquis Theatre on Sunday, April 17, 2011, and performances will begin Monday, March 21.

The new musical 'Wonderland,' set to open on Broadway in March, tells the classic Alice in Wonderland story through the eyes of an adult Alice living in New York City. Below are five rejected poster designs for the show - and the final artwork (bottom right). All were created by John Turner, a lead designer for the merchandising firm Creative Goods Design & Supply. Yesterday, August 2, the cast and creative team of the 2008 Tony and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical In The Heights, starring Corbin Bleu, toasted their 1,000th performance on Broadway. Partaking in the toast was In the Heights mastermind himself, Lin-Manuel Miranda, who recently joined the Heights tour out west. As BroadwayWorld has previously reported, the 2008 Tony and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical In The Heights welcomes 19 Recordings/Jive Records platinum recording artist and 2007 'American Idol' winner Jordin Sparks as Broadway's new Nina Rosario on August 19, 2010. 20 year old Jordin Sparks will be making her Broadway debut, playing a limited 12 week engagement through Sunday, November 14, 2010. During a Monday night concert, June 28, at House of Blues, Sparks surprised the audience with a teaser of her performance to come, singing 'Breathe' from In The Heights.
