On Monday, December 17, the monthly "Frank & Friends" concert took place as part of the Broadway at Birdland concert series. Once again, multi-Grammy and Tony nominated composer and host Frank Wildhorn gathered some of his talented pals to sing his pop and theater songs, but this night was extra-special. Over the past few months, Wildhorn has used the concerts to raise funds for The Actors Fund, so to celebrate the years end, he presented a check for $4000 to the Fund's Tim Pinckney.

On August 4th, 2013, acclaimed Composer and Lyricist Scott Alan will return to London for his biggest concert yet at the IndigO2 Theatre Arena at the O2.

Broadway at Birdland has announced the continuation of the partnership with multi-Grammy and Tony nominated composer Frank Wildhorn with two holiday-themed "Frank & Friends" concerts. These evenings will celebrate the holiday songs and favorite performers from the composer's wide range of work in popular, theatrical and classical music. All profits will go to The Actors Fund, a nationwide human services organization that helps all professionals in the performing arts and entertainment.

'Scott Alan Live: Special Edition,' is now available digitally, including iTunes (US and UK), Amazon and CDbaby. The album, recorded live at Birdland on April 30th, will also be released as a physical copy in mid-January 2013.

Eden Espinosa, Jane Monheit, Christiane Noll and Scott Alan were supposed to perform Alan's song 'Always' at the 'Broadway Blows Back' concert, raising funds for victims of Hurricane Sandy. The producers decided to move the performance back to December 10th, which Alan was unable to attend, so the group has recorded the song to promote the upcoming concert. In honor of Veterans' Day, the State Theatre in Easton presents a free concert with the United States Air Force Liberty Jazz Band tonight, November 13 at 7:30 PM.

Now it's time for all you cabaret performers and fans to vote for the best singers, musicians and shows of the year. Voting will continue until December 31 and winners will be announced in early January.

Making its way back to Southern California, the national touring company of the Tony Award-winning musical MEMPHIS will be spreading its tuneful message of rock and soul at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts for a two-week engagement starting November 6. Right in the center is phenomenal triple-threat Felicia Boswell, who agreed to answer a series of silly, rapid-fire questions from BroadwayWorld.

An oil portrait of the late Suzanne Lemberg Usdan, a Founding Trustee of the Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, has been donated to the Center by Dr. Jerrold Ross, a former Trustee of the Center and its longtime President. Dr. Ross is Dean of the Department of Education at St. John's University in Queens, and Academic Vice Presidentof the University's Staten Island campus. The portrait, painted by internationally known artist Norman Blackwell, commemorates the 10th anniversary of Mrs. Usdan's death.
