Jazz's Jane Monheit and Rick Montalbano Join Usdan Leadership Council

Grammy-nominated jazz vocalist and Usdan alumna Jane Monheit and her husband, drummer Rick Montalbano, have joined the Leadership Council of Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, the nationally renowned summer arts day camp.

Gifted jazz vocalist Jane Monheit sang the score of Cole Porter's Anything Goes to swinging new arrangements by bassist Mary Ann McSweeney at the Broadway at Birdland concert series on Monday, September 19. This event was a fundraiser for The Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative. Broadway leading man Marc Kudisch joined in on the fun with a hilarious duet and dazzling solo turn during the sold-out, jazz-tinged evening of music.

The awards ceremony and show was produced by Julie Miller and directed by Lennie Watts and was held at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill. The evening was hosted by Christine Pedi.
