Resonance Ensemble Presents R.U.R. and THE TRUTH QUOTIENT, Now thru 2/2

Resonance Ensemble has announced the cast for their 10th anniversary season "Connecting Circuits" featuring two shows in rep, a classic play and new play with resonating themes. This season includes the classic 1920 play R.U.R. by Karel ?apek, adapted by Lee Eric Shackleford, directed by Valentina Fratti in rep with THE TRUTH QUOTIENT, by award-winning playwright Richard Manley, directed By Eric Parness. The season will run tonight, January 9 - February 2, 2013 at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42 Street).

Metropolitan Playhouse Presents THE HOUSE OF MIRTH, 4/27-5/20

The Metropolitan Playhouse, a 2011 Obie Award winner, will present a revival of The House of Mirth, by Edith Wharton and Clyde Fitch. The play now receives the first professional revival in its 1906 cutting since, directed by Alex Roe at Metropolitan's home: 220 E 4th Street.

Frog & Peach Theatre Company (now in its seventeenth season), will present William Shakespeare's romantic comedy 'TWELFTH NIGHT,' directed by Lynnea Benson. It will be presented at The West End Theatre (the Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew), 263 West 86th Street (between West End Avenue and Broadway). Performances will officially open on Sunday, April 24 at 3:00 PM. Performances will run thru Sunday, May 15.

OBERON THEATRE ENSEMBLE is pleased to announce their series AMERICAN RAPTURE, which includes Hello Out There by William Saroyan and world premiere plays by Alex Dinelaris (nominated Lucile Lortel/Drama Desks), directed by Alex Dinelaris. AMERICAN RAPTURE plays a three-week limited engagement at the Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row (410 W 42nd St). Performances begin Saturday, February 14th and continue through Sunday, March, 1st. An evening of short plays, some humorous, some tragic, explore the unique mixture of loneliness and hope, which make up the American Experience. Playwright/director Alex Dinelaris, who was nominated for a Lucille Lortel (Best Musical) and two Drama Desk Awards (Book & Lyrics) for his work on the off-Broadway hit, ZANNA DON?T!, weaves his way through modern relationships, religious hypocrisy, love, loss and the endless cycle of violence that threatens to swallow our society whole. The evening culminates with William Saroyan?s Hello Out There, the powerful tale of two outcasts who find love at the most unlikely of times, in the most unlikely of places. AMERICAN RAPTURE will be presented in conjunction with William Shakespeare?s Much Ado About Nothing, as part of Oberon Theatre Ensemble?s Winter Rep 09. They recall promises from earlier times, hold the specter of wounds left unhealed, and have the ability to direct the course of one's life, as shown in Stacey Lane's comedy-drama A THOUSAND VARIATIONS ON A LIE TOLD ONCE. Directed by Brad Fryman and presented by the Oberon Theatre Ensemble, A THOUSAND VARIATIONS will begin performances on July 19th at the Dorothy Strelsin Theatre, located at 312 West 36th Street, as part of the Ninth Annual Midtown International Theatre Festival.
