Bayou Playhouse and Flambeaux Productions have announced the West Coast premiere of The Katrina Comedy Fest, written by Rob Florence, directed by Misty Carlisle, and featuring video projections by Jeff Teeter, at Hollywood's Lounge Theatre as part of the 2013 Hollywood Fringe Festival. Previews begin tonight, June 5 with the official opening set for Thursday, June 13 at 8pm. The Katrina Comedy Fest will play Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sundays at 8pm through June 30 only.

Buck Henry, Lisa Loomer, Boni Alvarez, Dan Duling, Mary Edith Burrell, Elena Minor, Jan Munroe, Robyn Peterson, Rob Sullivan, and Stephanie Waxman contribute writings to this unique event. They will compose 15-minute-or-less plays, that will be performed in readings by a company of professional actor/celebrities, and guests from the Downtown Women's Center.
