FOLLIES Hosts Actors Fund Benefit Performance Tonight

The Broadway productions of FOLLIES and RELATIVELY SPEAKING will host special, additional performances to benefit The Actors Fund in January, 2012. FOLLIES will play an nineth weekly show at the Marquis Theatre on Sunday, January 15 at 8pm. RELATIVELY SPEAKING will perform an additional weekly performance on January 29 at 8pm at its home, the Brooks Atkinson.

After a year and a half hiatus, Seth Rudetsky's famed Seth's Broadway Chatterbox has returned to Don't Tell Mama. Seth's Broadway Chatterbox includes interviews and performances by noted Broadway celebrities and is a raw, funny and insightful interview program that really has no equal. The series kicked off on January 5, 2012 with Douglas Carter Beane and the cast of LYSISTRATA JONES and was followed up this week on January 12 by FOLLIES' Jan Maxwell. As in years past, BroadwayWorld has teamed up with Seth to exclusively bring you the full length episodes right here and we're pleased to bring you Seth's candid chat with Maxwell below!

Seth's Broadway Chatterbox includes interviews and performances by noted Broadway celebrities and is a raw, funny and insightful interview program that really has no equal. Next week, January 19, Seth will welcome Maxwell's FOLLIES' co-stars Terri White and Susan Watson to the mic.

Victoria Clark to Replace Bernadette Peters as 'Sally' in LA FOLLIES; Maxwell, Burstein, Raines & Paige to Transfer

The Kennedy Center's critically acclaimed Broadway production of James Goldman and Stephen Sondheim's Tony Award®-winning musical Follies will transfer to the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles for six weeks, and as BroadwayWorld reported last month, Bernadette Peters will not continue on with the rest of the cast for the transfer of the production. Now we have confirmed that Tony winner Victoria Clark will take over the role of Sally in her place. Also now officially confirmed to transfer with the production are co-stars Jan Maxwell, Danny Burstein, Ron Raines and Elaine Paige.

FOLLIES Begins Final Two Weeks of Broadway Performances

The critically acclaimed Kennedy Center revival of FOLLIES, book by James Goldman and music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, begins its final 16 performances tonight at the Marquis Theatre (1535 Broadway). The production, directed by Eric Schaeffer with choreography by Warren Carlyle and music direction by James Moore, will play its final performance on Sunday, January 22 prior to an engagement at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles for six weeks only, May 3 through June 9, 2012.

Chatterbox will run regularly at Don't Tell Mama on Thursday nights at 6pm.
