Last night, stars of the stage and screen dazzled a full house at the Theatre at ACE Hotel during the first ever The 24 Hour Musicals: Los Angeles. The event raised money for the Dramatists Legal Defense Fund, a nonprofit arm of the Dramatists Guild of America, which advocates for the freedom of expression on behalf of all who are confronting censorship on stages across America. As BroadwayWorld reported earlier today, friends and family gathered this morning for the funeral of late actor James Gandolfini. The morning service was held at the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine on Manhattan's Upper West Side. Sopranos creator and Gandolfini's close friend David Chase spoke at the service, and Alan Sepinwall of Hitflix has transcribed the touching eulogy, which you can read below.

Producer Daryl Roth announced today that the long-running Off Broadway favorite Love, Loss, and What I Wore will close on Sunday, March 25, 2012 after playing for two and a half years and 1,013 performances. (March 15th marks the show's landmark 1,000 performance.)
