'Destiel,' the Debut Novel by Jordyn Burlot, to be Released by Copyhouse Press

Capital Stage Welcomes New Artistic Director

After fifteen years of growth and success in building a strong arts organization in Northern California, Founding Artistic Director Stephanie Gularte stepped down as Capital Stage's leader in 2013. Co-Founder and husband Jonathan Williams then was chosen by the board to take the helm of Sacramento's bold, thought provoking, non-profit professional theatre company. In the time that Jonathan has led the company we have seen significant growth in our subscription base, our educational programming, and in our commitment to bringing new works to the Sacramento Area. He has also been responsible for facility improvements including the expansion and development of our back patio.

Tampa Shakespeare Festival Presents ROMEO AND JULIET and MACBETH in Repertory

Tampa Shakespeare Festival will be launching their inaugural season on Thursday, March 5th at Waterworks Park in downtown Tampa with William Shakespeare's Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet playing in repertory on alternating nights. The festival will run from Thursday, March 5th until Sunday, March 22nd. Performances will begin at 6pm Thursdays through Saturdays and at 2pm on Sundays. Admission is free to the general public. Aurora Theatre Company continues its 22nd season with the Bay Area Premiere of Johnna Adams' (2011 Princess Grace Award recipient, finalist for the 2012 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize) incendiary new play GIDION'S KNOT. A parent/teacher conference begins with a concerned mother wanting answers as to why her son was suspended from his 5th grade class. Was he a bully? A victim? A protector? Their discussion develops into a dramatically charged, volatile exploration of personal responsibility, freedom of expression, the failure of our school system, bullying, and blame.
