The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, called 'a riotously funny and campy variety show' by Next Magazine, will present their latest edition on Thursday, February 10 at 9:30 PM. The acclaimed monthly comedy/variety show is a gay romp through politics - sexual and otherwise - social news, music, skits and other important life-changing information. February's special guests will be Summer & Eve, the folk-musical comedy band and Ben Cameron (Wicked, Aida). The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre returns to The Duplex on February 10, 2011 at 9:30 PM.

Syfy has announced that Luke Pasqualino (Skins - UK) and Ben Cotton (Hellcats, Riese) have been cast in Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome, the highly anticipated 2-hour pilot. The all-new chapter in the Battlestar saga unfolds in the thick of the 10th year of the first Cylon war, as the battle between humans and a sentient robot race rages across the 12 colonial worlds.

Peter Blum is pleased to announce Pier and Ocean, a solo exhibition of new paintings and works on paper by Robert Zandvliet opening Thursday, February 3rd at Peter Blum Soho, 99 Wooster Street, New York. This exhibition will end on Saturday, March 26th. There will be a reception for the artist on Thursday, February 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. This will be Robert Zandvliet's fourth solo exhibition with Peter Blum.

Alan Gilbert And NYC Philharmonic Embark On European Tour, 5/12-5/24

Music Director Alan Gilbert, The Yoko Nagae Ceschina Chair, will lead the New York Philharmonic on the EUROPE/SPRING 2011 tour, May 12-24, 2011. The tour - the fourth with Mr. Gilbert as Music Director - will take the Orchestra to musical capitals of Central Europe, with eleven concerts in nine cities: Basel, Switzerland; Baden-Baden and Munich, Germany; Vienna, Austria; Budapest, Hungary; Berlin, Dresden and Leipzig, Germany; and Prague, Czech Republic. Although Mr. Gilbert has a long history conducting in Europe, and has taken the Orchestra on two previous European tours, this will be his first appearances in all nine cities as Music Director of the New York Philharmonic.

reOrder: An Architectural Environment by Situ Studio inaugurates the first phase of the Brooklyn Museum's renovation of its first-floor 10,000-square-foot colonnaded hall. On view March 4, 2011, through January 15, 2012, the space-altering, site-specific architectural installation was created by Situ Studio, a Brooklyn-based creative practice specializing in design and fabrication. The installation reimagines the classically ordered space to serve as a hub, a place for all Museum visitors to meet and relax.

Family audiences in Westbrook will soon be treated to the wild and wooly chronicles of Maine's own Paul Bunyan, Mighty Woodsman, Inventor of Logging and Hero-Leader of the best band of jim-crackin', rip-snortin' rogues that ever tramped the Maine woods. The Figures of Speech Student Ensemble (FOSSE) is developing a production of 'Paul Bunyan' that will premiere at Warren Memorial Library in Westbrook and then go on tour.
