The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, called 'a riotously funny and campy variety show' by Next Magazine, will present their latest edition on Thursday, February 10 at 9:30 PM. The acclaimed monthly comedy/variety show is a gay romp through politics - sexual and otherwise - social news, music, skits and other important life-changing information. February's special guests will be Summer & Eve, the folk-musical comedy band and Ben Cameron (Wicked, Aida). The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre returns to The Duplex on February 10, 2011 at 9:30 PM.

This year's Highlight In Jazz Concert series will have a slight change. Randy Sandke will sub for Warren Vache, who was scheduled to play during the Tribute to Derek Smith on Thursday, March 10.

Syfy has announced that Luke Pasqualino (Skins - UK) and Ben Cotton (Hellcats, Riese) have been cast in Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome, the highly anticipated 2-hour pilot. The all-new chapter in the Battlestar saga unfolds in the thick of the 10th year of the first Cylon war, as the battle between humans and a sentient robot race rages across the 12 colonial worlds.

Peter Blum is pleased to announce Pier and Ocean, a solo exhibition of new paintings and works on paper by Robert Zandvliet opening Thursday, February 3rd at Peter Blum Soho, 99 Wooster Street, New York. This exhibition will end on Saturday, March 26th. There will be a reception for the artist on Thursday, February 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. This will be Robert Zandvliet's fourth solo exhibition with Peter Blum.

The Lincoln Square area of Manhattan will see several construction projects over the next few months. Lincoln Square for the Performing Arts, Fordham University and the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will perform expansions and maintenence work amid upcoming events like the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

Music Director Alan Gilbert, The Yoko Nagae Ceschina Chair, will lead the New York Philharmonic on the EUROPE/SPRING 2011 tour, May 12-24, 2011. The tour - the fourth with Mr. Gilbert as Music Director - will take the Orchestra to musical capitals of Central Europe, with eleven concerts in nine cities: Basel, Switzerland; Baden-Baden and Munich, Germany; Vienna, Austria; Budapest, Hungary; Berlin, Dresden and Leipzig, Germany; and Prague, Czech Republic. Although Mr. Gilbert has a long history conducting in Europe, and has taken the Orchestra on two previous European tours, this will be his first appearances in all nine cities as Music Director of the New York Philharmonic.

reOrder: An Architectural Environment by Situ Studio inaugurates the first phase of the Brooklyn Museum's renovation of its first-floor 10,000-square-foot colonnaded hall. On view March 4, 2011, through January 15, 2012, the space-altering, site-specific architectural installation was created by Situ Studio, a Brooklyn-based creative practice specializing in design and fabrication. The installation reimagines the classically ordered space to serve as a hub, a place for all Museum visitors to meet and relax.

Jazz composer and performer Dom Minasi will make various appearances in Manhattan in February and March. He and his various bands will perform at venues like ABC No Rio, University of the Streets and the Metropolitan Room.

The Roscommon Arts Centre will host two captivating shows this February. First, local comedians The Two Willies will reprise their sell-out show 'Funny Side Up' on Friday, February 5th. Then, OJ Ryan's play 'Bad Faith' will be performed from Thursday, February 17th to Saturday, February 19th.

Pioneer Theatre Company presents the drama "IN," a world premiere by Bess Wohl, February 18 through March 5, 2011. Wohl, the author of the show "Touch(ed)" that ushered in PTC's New Plays Initiative last season, returns with another humorous, insightful and witty world premiere drama.

In the sheltered inner rooms of an old Havana house, an earthy philosopher plucks melodies and rhythms from the air and from Cuban music's rich soil. Working alone or with close friends and relatives, he turns dances from the sugar cane fields and troubadour trills into magical realist declarations of liberty, as grandchildren dash in and out, and chicken grills out on the veranda. This is the sensually philosophical world of Cuba's maverick musician, Pedro Luis Ferrer, whose latest album Tangible (Escondida; March 29, 2011) continues the renowned singer-songwriter's transformation of Cuban traditions into a vibrant cry for free thinking and intellectual liberation.

Family audiences in Westbrook will soon be treated to the wild and wooly chronicles of Maine's own Paul Bunyan, Mighty Woodsman, Inventor of Logging and Hero-Leader of the best band of jim-crackin', rip-snortin' rogues that ever tramped the Maine woods. The Figures of Speech Student Ensemble (FOSSE) is developing a production of 'Paul Bunyan' that will premiere at Warren Memorial Library in Westbrook and then go on tour.

The pairing of two talented artists on one show is always twice the enjoyment--and--often a once-in-a-lifetime concert experience. Just such an offering is on tap as an intimate Valentine for fans of Richard Marx and Matt Scannell, who'll perform at PlayhouseSquare's Ohio Theatre, Sunday February 13 at 7 pm.

The Hobby Center and Broadway Across America are bringing CATS back to Houston for a limited one-week engagement. Billed as 'the longest running, most popular North American touring production in history,' it will play in Sarofim Hall from Tuesday, April 12 to Sunday, April 17.

The Attic Theater Company will present the NYC premier of Gregory Moss's play The Argument at DCTV, a landmark firehouse in downtown New York City. The show will be directed by Drama League and Williamstown Theater Festival Fellow, Kerry Whigham. Performances run March 4th-13th at 8pm.

The often imitated and never duplicated, Fishbone, bring their 25th Anniversary Tour to the Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip with The Remedies and Everyone Meltdown on Tuesday, February 8.

The popular hit musical GUYS AND DOLLS opens at the Manatee Players on February 17 and plays through March 6. BLACK ANGELS OVER TUSKEGEE, Layon Gray's acclaimed play, will celebrate its one-year anniversary Saturday, January 29th at the Actors Temple Theater (339 West 47th Street), where the production transferred after its sold-out engagement at St. Luke's Theatre. In attendance at this special 5pm performance will be surviving members of the original Tuskegee Airmen.

The New York Philharmonic Ensembles, spotlighting Musicians from the Orchestra, continues its 2010-11 season on Sunday, February 27, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. at Merkin Concert Hall with a program that features Dittersdorf's Duo in E-flat major for Viola and Bass, Ron Wasserman's Quatrefoil, Kodaly's Serenade for Two Violins and Viola and Schumann's Piano Trio No. 2 in F major.
