The Time Out New York Lounge at New World Stages kicks off Honey Makes the World Go ‘Round, starring Honey Davenport, on Friday, January 21st, and continuing every Friday evening at 11pm.

Paavo Jarvi will lead the New York Philharmonic in the New York Premiere of ErkkiSven Tuur's Aditus; Britten's Violin Concerto with Janine Jansen as soloist; and Beethoven's Symphony No. 5, Thursday, February 24, 2011, at 7:30 p.m., Friday, February 25, at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 26, at 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday, March 1, at 7:30 p.m. This is Mr. Jarvi's first return to the Orchestra since 1999, and Ms. Jansen's, since her Philharmonic debut in 2007.

The Hartt School Dance Division and Real Art Ways (RAW) collaborate to present a dance performance by Hartt students as part of Saya Woolfalk's RAW installation Institute of Empathy, which runs through March 20, 2011. The performance will be part of the creative cocktail hour on Thursday, March 17, 2011, which takes place from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Admission is $10, $5 for RAW members.

At The Media Theatre, Jennie Eisenhower portrays Cathy, the aspiring actress. Wallingford's Marcus Stevens takes on the role of the novelist, Jamie.

Macy's Department Stores and Johnson Publishing Company are partnering to present a beauty, fashion and lifestyle tribute to the life of legendary style maven, Eunice Johnson. The Ebony, Fashion Fair Cosmetics & Macy's Celebrate Eunice Johnson retrospective, will debut at Macy's Herald Square in New York City on January 27th thru February 1st, and will then tour 10 Macy's locations across the country throughout the month of February.

Uranium Madhouse is ready to irradiate the Southern California theater scene. Theater director and acting teacher Andrew Utter announces the formation of his new Los Angeles theater company, Uranium Madhouse, inviting discerning theatergoers to "come in and melt down." Utter will act as Artistic Director and set designer Erik Flatmo has been named Resident Designer.

Tickets for the Shaw Festival's 50th season went on sale to Shaw Festival Members and Visa Infinite cardholders on November 6 and December 4, respectively, and the response has been wonderfully strong. Compared to the same time last year, Members ticket sales are 5% ahead, with group sales reaching the $1 million mark, 15% ahead of the same time last year. Next season's productions of My Fair Lady and The Admirable Crichton are very popular with families, reflecting a remarkable 143% increase in family package sales.
