PBS is bound for Broadway this fall with a three-hour primetime documentary series that tracks the real life stories of America's top high school musical performers vying in the ultimate competition to find the nation's best young theater stars. It's non-stop drama when 60 talented teens - chosen from a nationwide casting call of over 50,000 students - descend on New York for an intensive week of "theatrical boot camp" and a shot at stage stardom and scholarships. The annual event, held each summer, is filmed for the first time ever inBROADWAY OR BUST, airing on consecutive Sunday nights, tonight, September 9-23, 2012 at 8:00-9:00 pm ET on PBS (check local listings).

Broadway In Chicago's Concert moves to Millennium Park this summer. The FREE BROADWAY IN CHICAGO CONCERT will take place tonight, August 6, 2012 at 6:15 p.m. at the Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park. Hosted by ABC-7's Janet Davies, star of 190 NORTH, the concert will feature performances by the iconic rock legend Cyndi Lauper with members of the cast from the pre-Broadway world premiere of her new musical KINKY BOOTS, Joey from War Horse and Cathy Rigby as PETER PAN.

The Parrish Art Museum's Midsummer Party, a major highlight of the Hamptons summer season, will take place tonight, July 14. This year's gala will celebrate the "creative spirit of the East End" by honoring director/choreographer Patricia Birch, visual artist Chuck Close, author/historian Barbara Goldsmith, interior designers Tony Ingrao and Randy Kemper, musician G.E. Smith, and choreographer Paul Taylor. This years Midsummer Party Co-Chairs are Deborah F. Bancroft, Carlo Bronzini Vender, Etta Froio, Dorothy Lichtenstein, Michele Pesner, Douglas Polley, Frederic M. Seegal, Marcia Dunn Sobel, and Alexandra Stanton.

The stars of the upcoming revival of JEKYLL & HYDE, Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis (Rock of Ages) and Grammy Award Nominee Deborah Cox (Aida), will host the 4th annual National High School Musical Theater Awards tonight, June 25th at 7:30pm at Broadway's Minskoff Theatre (200 W 45th St). The winners of the 2012 Globe Honors, the annual competition recognizing excellence in high school theater, were announced on Monday, May 21 after the final round of competition was held on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Chase Fischer of Coronado School of the Arts and Nicolette Burton of Canyon Crest Academy won in the categories of Leading Actor and Actress in a High School Musical, respectively, and will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to New York City to participate in the National High School Musical Theater Awards/The Jimmy™ Awards competition to be held on June 25 at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway. The other winners of this year's Globe Honors were Jonathan Edzant of Canyon Crest Academy and Kelly Prendergast of Grossmont High School (Outstanding Achievement in Musical Theatre), Patrick Gates of San Diego Virtual Schools and Sara Rose Carr of Canyon Crest Academy (Outstanding Achievement in Spoken Theatre) and Chad Mata of Coronado School of the Arts (Outstanding Achievement in Technical Theatre). This year's Globe Honors was presented in association with Broadway/San Diego - A Nederlander Presentation.
